What is the boy a victim of exactly?

The same as the girl, both are victims of lack of parenting from the mother. But if the boy is not considered a victim, then neither is the girl IMO.

I'm pretty sure at 15, he knew EXACTLY he was going into. I don't know any 15 year old that doesn't know pregnancy may be a result of sex. 12 is plenty young enough to be persuaded that nothing will happen if they do some fake form of contraception.

I think that's a cop out to put the blame soley on one party. If blame is to be placed on only one party it should be the mother who allowed her daughter's boyfriend to move in.

This is one instance where I've got to agree with kibbles, 100%.

The boy is only 15. He is still a child himself. Unless the girl says he physically forced her to do it, no one has any claim or complaint against the boy. Who I may add, is also going to be dealing with the result of his actions with his young girlfriend....

Two kids had consensual sex. End of story.

The blame lies with the mother for allowing them to share a bedroom and be alone together. What do you think two uneducated, hormonal kids are going to do?

As soon as the father brought this to the attention of authorities, perhaps the children should have been taken out of the mother's custody. OR at the *least*, the kids should have been educated about birth control.

What in the good holy hades is a 12 year old girl doing having sex in the first place? Geeez. When I was that age I was still playing with Barbies.

I'm not blaming the girl, not at all, but the parents and even the 15 year old should know better.
I'm betting money there was an abuse history there with her in the first place.

Why? You've never heard of a horny kid? When did you hit puberty, because many hit it early.
My sex drive kicked in when I was 10.

Either way, there is a HUGE difference between 12 and 15. Many areas have laws against having sex with someone under 13. They are far stricter than simply having sex with someone under 18.

It was my understanding that those laws usually only applied to 18+ though. I'm not certain, that's just how I parsed it.
Any comment I make should not be taken as an absolute, unless I say it should be. Even this one.

Definitely have heard of horny kids, but 12 is still early, even if you were precocious.
Usually if kids are having sex at that age, they were introduced to it earlier by someone else doing things they ought not to have.

Well the 8 year old that I "experimented" with was introduced to it. But I was straight on sex driven before I even knew exactly what it was that I wanted oh so bad.

I do believe I knew all about sex at about age 7 or 8, possibly earlier, wasn't introduced to it by anyone doing anything they shouldn't have.

Friend of mine had sex when she was 12. When she was 13, she seduced a guy who was like 25. It happens.

Seduced is not the word to describe child molestation no matter how much "she wanted it".

How did a 25 year old not realize the girl was 13? I mean, unless she was very unusually advanced in her development, it's fairly obvious when a girl is a GIRL and not a young woman, yet.....
