I disagree wholeheartedly with Stallworth only getting 30 days and house arrest. He should have gotten a lot more time, but regardless of that, I am tired of these pro athletes who think that they can do whatever they want because they are pros. That needs to stop. Playing pro sports is a privilege not a right. The NFL should ban him indefinitely. That would teach these blithering idiots to straighten up and fly right.

        Opinions all?

I'd thought he was banned indefinitely. If not, then yeah, might as well. Most people do tend to get fired after committing a crime that gets any kind of press. An indefinite ban is basically being fired from football, I suppose.
Any comment I make should not be taken as an absolute, unless I say it should be. Even this one.

I would personally like to see him be allowed to come back with him making some large donations to some various foundations.

How's this for a wildly different opinion...
I think he should have gotten real jail time. BUT once he finished, he should get to come back to sports without any other punishment.
Professional sports are jobs, not some kind of political position.
Of course, any team owners that want to trade or simply fire members for what ever reason they choose, they should.

Oh, yes, actually, I agree with Flyn on that.

Other than the fact that he was drunk and speeding, and thus a really bad publicity person for the club and sport (and don't go there for what some of Australia's sports stars have been doing!!!), yes, I think it's fair for him to be able to play again... (if it was performance enhancing drugs for the game, that's a different story).

Driving completely stone sober, even having brand new brakes in my car, I can hardly react to a deer or a herd of turkeys going 45-50 mph.
try driving, when COMPLETELY sober no drugs or booze in my system whatsoever, on a major road (ashland ave speed limit 45 MPH) and trying to avoid by sever slomum slide some nut job of a driver doing a right turn on a red light into my lane when I was about 50 feet away from the intersection. that was real fun as I was CERTAIN I was going to t-bone the dumbass at 45MPH

or the time last winter when some idiot in a Jeep ran a red light 10 seconds AFTER the light turned red and almost t-boned me. he did not because I was slow in getting my car moving. it was one day after a big snowfall and thank whatever diety I was cautious at ALL stop lights

I'm sure that we can all agree that bad drivers cause good drivers to get into accidents all the time.

My gods, you've got some incredibly fast animals up your way!! Deer and turkeys that can go 45-50mph? How do you catch them for food??
