    To be honest, I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread about this already:

    What do the rest of you think? Was Sodini just an unstable whackjob, or is he product of a much larger cultural problem of misogyny and entitlement shared by so many other men? I'm inclined to say the latter myself.

    Oh, and while I understand I can't control what direction this thread takes, I would prefer it doesn't turn into one on gun control, since there's at least three other such (very long) threads on that here already.

    I don't think it's misogyny. I think it's a guy went a wee bit crazy from loneliness (re: batshit insane) and decided to strike out at what his twisted mind thought was the source of his troubles. I'm willing to bet he didn't have much in the way of friends either.
    Any comment I make should not be taken as an absolute, unless I say it should be. Even this one.
