I would say that all reptiles, birds, and mammals fuck for shits 'n giggles. Pleasure is the impetus for it after all.
Picking the best mate is not a single obvious to everyone choice.
If a species is even partly monogamous, then it's best for an individual to set up house with the best provider or the most stable parent, but mate with the most physically fit individual. That's why there is no such thing as a 100% monogamous species.
