  • Female pedophiles

    Here's an example: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle6471327.ece

The reason why I'm posting this is that a lot of people seem to think that there's no way that a woman can be a pedophile; ie, be sexually attracted to children. So they're saying that the women abused the children solely for the benefit of the male pedophile they were chatting to on Facebook. But I don't see how anyone, male or female, could perpetrate such disgusting acts on children without getting a thrill off it. The acts of abuse are so horrible, that they are not mentioned in detail.

The man was equally disgusting; he not only had a computer stuffed full of child abuse photos, but also committed sexual acts with his dog and was a convicted sex offender. But that doesn't excuse the women involved. Plus the women are refusing to name the children they abused, so the parents don't even know if their child was abused or not.

More links on the case, which might not be known of in America:

Yeah, it's ridiculous how female pedophiles get off. Like Debra LaFave who was "too pretty" to go to jail. Meanwhile men have to walk on eggshells, lest they arouse the suspicion they may be pedophiles, just because they enjoy "kid" things. Like cartoons, and video games, or what have you. It's a rather big issue, when it comes to the Asperger's community, because many people with Asperger's Syndrome enjoy things that are considered for children. You know, cause they're not doing adult stuff, like gabbing all day, or trying to get laid.

In my experience, most guys enjoy "kid things", especially as cartoons and video games become more violent and bathroom humored.

But I refuse to believe that women cannot be pedophiles as well. This ridiculous belief that some people have that women are somehow "above" the various perversions that humankind seems to be prone to....

And I don't understand why guys are automatically view with suspicion if they want to be teachers, day care workers, pediatrics, etc. I despise sexually related double standards...

I wonder if it's anything like females raping males/other females...the belief that because they're not violating them the way a man does, that it's impossible...

You mean like, women having to be stick thin, while men are able to get by with having a little chub? That kind of sexually related double standard?

Actually, I mean guys are able to be topless, but girls can't because breasts are "inherently sexual", or the fact that guys can get older, but girls don't seem to be allowed to. So, I suppose the thin girls example applies, but does not seem to be as universal in the western world as the others.

On the other side, women almost automatically being given custody of children, or the assumption that everything guys do have sexual overtones. Girls are allowed to hug each other, or a guy with little warning, but if a guy does the same thing, he's a perve.

Guys and girls should be able to be treated as people, not merely as their gender.

Really, how many plus size women do you see in TV shows? Or how many plus size women do you see in modeling? Do you see plus size women represented in the media anywhere, in a way that isn't demeaning or stereotypical?

also, shouldn't be treated merely as their orientation. As a gay man I am apparently automatically
-checking all straight guys out (ok, that one may be half true )
                -interested in nothing but sex
                -am a pedophile
-have anal warts (yes, I did actually have someone tell me that all gay men have anal warts)
                and my personal favorite
                -want to 'recruit' everyone's children.

I would love for just once people to recognize that a heterosexual woman could be just as flawed as a homosexual man.

Yup, but that's here not over there.

I've heard of some cases where state statutory rape laws still applied to men under the age of 18 and in some cases where they didn't apply to women at all.

To reply to Violetyoshi, the stipulation that women need to be stick thin is assumed by women and promoted by their own businesses and publications. Women are just as much at fault, if not more than men are. And to further add to that debate, last I checked there is quite a bit of a demand for the curvy/voluptuous look out there. For every Playboy, Hustler, or Penthouse, there's a magazine or web site out there for the ones who like BBWs.

Getting back to the OP, I think it still all comes down to the stereotypes that are put on each of the sexes. There are still people out there that believe women are demure never have a sexual thought in their brain, unless they're married and are wanting to start a family.

You'd think after the convictions of Myra Hindley and Rose West that people's thoughts would have changed on the subject; obviously not. I think it's laughable in a way that everyone gets het up checking and rechecking every man who comes within a five mile radius of a child, but the same is not done to women.

There's also the double standard which applies to teachers who abuse pupils. A male teacher who abused a thirteen year old girl would be slammed, where as in the case of a female teacher abusing a thirteen year old boy, the general reaction seems to be "Wow, lucky him!" -.-
"Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

I suppose then it's only women who crack jokes about how fat someone else is. I don't think so, men do perpetuate it by constantly reminding fat women of how undesirable, or disgusting they are.

Nice attempt to pass the buck though.

Can you post a new topic for that subject, as it basically derails the thread? I clearly stated that the thread topic is female pedophiles, not perception of feminine beauty.

Another thing; women are generally depicted as being nurturing and caring towards children; ignoring the fact that there are far too many mothers who abuse and kill their own offspring. In fact, if a child dies in suspicious circumstances, the parents are always interviewed by the police; it's just common sense.

Male children may want and even enjoy sex with adult women, but what we want isn't always good for us. That's what so many idiots don't understand.
