Just as not all pedophiles are dangerous; as shown in the book Acid Row. It's a fiction book, but the point is a good one. A pedophile does not necessarily indicate a monster.

An adult woman who has sex with a thirteen year old boy is however an abuser, especially if she's in a position of trust like a teacher. He might well enjoy the sex, but the relationship is unequal and the woman should not be taking advantage of him.

It's just something kind of ingrained into society.

Kinda one of the reasons that ALOT of child murdering mothers (as in moms who kill their own kids) get off either completly or get to play the 'insanity defense' card and get sent to a mental hospital for a little bit as oppose to life in jail.

It's beause, in general, as a society we cannot simply concieve that a WOMAN could do such horrendous horrible things.

but because MEN started war and MEN are more violent of course it's easy to see how 'so and so is a scum bag but ms. so and so was MADE to go along with it.' etc. etc.

sorry folks but twisted disturbed people (and not the GOOD kind of twisted) exsist in all ages shapes sizes colors and genders.

Mary Kay Letourneau (now Fualaau) , much? This one is the equivalent to the male's Mary Kay Letourneau. This high school teacher and this (then) 16 year old student had a consensual sexual affair. But when the student caught wind of rumors of him possibly having an affair with another student, she reported him to the authorities and is now about to spend 5 years in prison for the 1 year affair and the student is now 18. The teacher's attorney argued about how the female teachers who have done this have received more lenient sentences while his client was meted a harsh sentence compared to them. I call bullshit. Mary Kay Letourneau had to do around the same amount of time as this man will have to for the same kind of crime. I think that because it usually tends to be males that are pedophiles is why they tend to be meted such harsh treatment, as opposed to female pedophiles. But no matter what the gender, a pedophile is a pedophile and needs to be treated as such.

I really hope no one gets offended by my harping on this. But most child rapists aren't pedophiles, and most pedophiles aren't child rapists.

I have been visually attracted to a few underage girls. That doesn't automatically make me a monster rapist.

It's criminals' inability to, or desire not to, inhibit their desires that creates the problem not just what their desires are.

Actually IIRC Vili Fualaau was 13... and she was in a position of authority over him, had it happened at 16 she (a middle school teacher) wouldn't have had much of a [roblem since Age of Consent in Washington is 16...
