There's three types of people

While listening to the radio the host declared there are three types of people in this country. His surmize is:

Producers
Looters
Moochers

The producers are those that work for a living outside of the government.
Looters is the government that taxes the citizens.
The Moochers are those that live off the government tit.

He also said that this country (USA) is nearing the point of no return because the Moochers are in league with the Looters to keep the enablers in power.

Yes, there are some people who mooch off others. Yes, some governments don't use taxes well. But to say all or even most people/governments abuse the system? I don't buy it. We hear more about those that do, in part because "Jane Doe is using government assistance to feed her children until she can get a better job" isn't newsworthy.

That he's a moron who can't keep his arguement straight, he just introduced a fourth group, his so called "enablers".

Rather a fair point, raising further issues. There has to be some mobility between the segments, if they're correct. Some 'moochers' will be in that group temporarily until they get a job, for example, and others will be there for life. He's proposed a simple system, yet there are undercurrents not taken into account to increase his shock value.

This particular host was set off by a guy in Detroit that was standing in line waiting for a $3K check and was complaining about it taking so long. The guy made the comment that it was like combining 4 or 5 welfare offices into one. The host surmised that the guy was a long term moocher.

The fourth group was probably my fault. The enablers are part of the looters. The looters are those with government jobs that give money to the moochers and the enablers are the politicians that pass the legislation and taxes.
I don't think this host has much of a problem with short term moochers because he knows they'll go back to work his problem is with the long term moochers that have their hand stuck out and then complain that they're not getting more and fast enough.

BTW the host is not Rush, Sean, Beck or Savage.

Fraud exists. No doubt many criminals target the United States government and those programs because they are large, have deep pockets, and often poor accounting and security measures.

The problem for me is that people tend to overstate the amount of fraud in the system and underestimate the number of honest people who use these programs temporarily (or in the case of Medicare and disability, perhaps long-term).

Media commentators don't tend to differentiate between these two groups. It's like walking into a bank and assuming that everyone in line for the tellers is planning on robbing the joint, because that also happens sometimes.

Can't be a producer since I work at a government (but not government paid) facility.
Not a looter since my paycheck doesn't come from taxes.
Make too much to be a moocher even though my monthly outgoing (bills) is just over 100 less then what I make. Damned to be me if I have a major problem happen.

Correct. In the world of talk radio, if you can't be neatly categorized into "People Like Us" or "People We Hate", then you don't exist.

It's possible Aethian is contractor, basically working for a company being hired by the government to do a specific job. I deal with them a lot at my job.

Aethian works at the USPS, which is pretty much financed strictly through postage and fees for services nowadays.
