I thought I already responded to this.

Civilization is not a facade. It is understanding and trying to control our ids as a group.
As long as violence fantasies are occasional, and never ever acted upon, all is good.
I just don't like the violent hive mentality that comes from groups of people overindulging in thoughts of torture being just.
It isn't and never will be.

      Anthony.

Interesting read, and indeed my information may be mistaken. However, one note, mistaken identity really should not be counted as false claims. As the rape did happen, they were just mistaken about who committed it. That aside, the figures might be larger then I was led to believe. Of course that may have been shaded by the fact that one time I was accused of it. Despite being a virgin (still). Of course this same female had accused everybody in the general area at least once. Including, but not limted to my brother and my cousin.

Luckily my other female cousins were visiting at the time she claimed it happened, and a DNA test also cleared me (Which I volunteered for, and to take a polygraph but it never came to that). But one would think that this would cause me to err on the high side..not the low side.

The thing was, that my life was turned upside down during that. Everything I did, said, or even thought was went over with a fine tooth comb. My statements and such meant absoultely nothing. Since my cousins were my alibi (and family as alibi is always veiwed as suspicion) and it took awhile for the DNA tests to return..I was raked over the coals. Even spent a little time behind bars (though it was 'esponged' after my innocence was proven).

Now I don't want that to come over wrong, I was raised that any man that raised his hand to a woman in violence (except in self defense like they are trying to kill them or something)..or tried to (or succeeded) in raping them was no man. Not even an animal..as that would insult most animals.

I am also mostly certain that most females would not knowingly falsely accuse, at least not sane ones. The numbers in your post disturb me, and I hope that person is mistaken. Even not counting 'mistaken identity' (since a rape did occur (?), but the wrong person accused) it seems a bit high.

And as for the stigma of being accused..I know that all too well. The strange thing is, of all the people she accused, I was the only one they actually ever arrested. Maybe because I was a quiet guy *shrugs*, or maybe I just looked like a felon or something.

Not a man, not a sane woman. Your views are a little too naive for my tastes. People can and do make mistakes out of stupidity or plain nastiness. Few really aspire to nobility and honor today or even in times of old.
Since women claiming rape don't suffer any repercussions even in the unlikely event they are proven without a doubt to be wrong or lying, there is no reason not to attack others with the claim. All win and no loss.

I can and will defend myself against aggression regardless of where they keep their genitals. I believe in real world sexual equality.

Apart from leaving themselves open to be charged with making a false claim, sued for slander and such.

Never happens. You have to prove that a woman knew that she wasn't raped by that man. No prosecutor wants to commit career suicide.

If she was raped, yes you have to prove it, but in that case it could just be a case of mistaken identity. If she wasn't raped, no you don't have to prove that she knew or didn't know.

Rape doesn't have to show obvious signs, and obvious signs aren't always non-consential. There is no way to prove that a woman was raped without a whole lot of circumstantial evidence.
