Not nearly as heinous, but my ex sister-in-law was 14 when she had her first child, and the father was 21.

So my sensible (not) ex in-laws consented for her to marry him, rather than have his worthless ass thrown in jail. *sigh*

Pepper, I think that's quite common......I think it's the mother's family's way of forcing the guy to take responsibility, and to keep the father's family happy that he isn't in jail.

Which means he's free to do exactly the same to another vulnerable child... *sigh*
"Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

Or even more likely to continue to molest the same child over and over again.
Seriously, not ever sex act with a teenager by an adult is committed by a ravenous serial ephebophile.

Did I say that? I'm baffled as to why you chose my post to reply to, seeing as I never posted anything of the sort in either one.

Lace, take the first sentence as a direct response to the bit of yours Flyndaran quoted. I believe the second sentence is intended as a new and unrelated thought.

A gap between would help in that case; I always try to do that if replying to someone.

I too often wander in topics like a bad Virginia Wolf novel. Sorry.

Lucky. I read "To the Lighthouse" in school. It was the worst stream of consciousness nonsense I have ever had the misfortune to read.
