lol. I remember screaming that at my parents on several occasions; mainly right after they'd laid down the law and not let me do something that I wanted to do and was against their rules. XD Did I hold it against them? Nope. Am I good friends with my parents now, despite them "ruining" my life as a teen? Damn straight.

Honestly not sure what style of parenting my parents employed. I do remember that at one point I realized there was nothing they could really do to me.

I am not friends with my Mom now but she seems to think we are.

They could become "disappointed in you".

For me, that was bad enough to keep me in line.

*shrugs* My parents were gone a lot. Plus I wanted them to be disappointed in me. It was better than praising me as some genius when I would do good.
