Cell Phones

I loathe when people yap away on their phones at the checkout counter when I'm trying to ring them up. Even worse are the ones that mouth or whisper their order to you. I've actually been known to thank people for ending their call or putting the phone down long enough for me to finish their transaction. Texting while driving is a whole other thing. I tried it once, and only once, and will never, NEVER do it again. Way too dangerous! There was a story in the local weekly paper here recently about a 16 year old girl that was texting while driving through the HS parking lot and hit not one but TWO parked cars in her distraction. I think she did over $10,000 damage to one of them! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

I closet thing I do to texting is my navigation system on my phone. I already have the address preset so all I have to do is push one button to get directions.

I don't like to talk while driving but I will do it when my work cell goes off because I usually am on call. I won't email or text while diving because I don't like to be distracted. I cannot understand why you have to answer that text continuously while driving. At least pull off the road and get into a parking lot.

Yup. Same here. I only text to get the direction and the phone is where it is not an distracting. I usually wear my Bluetooth headset, so I am covered on that.

Its also the greatest time to rip the loudest one you can (hell, even if it is fake).

Turn on the sink too - running water does a great job with messing with the sound quality.

for the most part cell phones bother me. but as long as the voice is kept at a normal speaking level then why should i complain?

except when im ringing some one out and im asking them questions but they are too involved in their convo...sometimes i wont ask them for their card or tell them their totals, because most of the time i end up having to repeat it.

cell phones and driving ugh. its illegal here in CT to talk on the phone while driving unless you have hands free devices and im pretty sure the texting is now illegal too. its just not worth it. a few weeks ago i was at the movies and like every 5 sec i saw another phone light up, wtf..

i dont get many calls. and i dont always answer them depending on where i am, i dont want to disrupt anything. im more of a texter and my phone sounds are always off, never even vibrate, that tends to startle me and you might see me randomly twitch haha i keep mine in my back pocket
