Judge Flipping Coins to decide!?

I'm ashamed to say this judge is from Virginia. (The state I live in).

How can a judge just flip a coin to decide who gets custody on Christmas?

Plus, he had a woman drop her pants twice in court so he could confirm she actually had a wound and stitches.

And judges wonder why they're not trusted any longer.

While this judge totally sucks, I'm glad I'm in a country that will actually remove idiots like this and ostracize them like they deserve.

According to what I've read, in the coin flipping case he first threatened to flip a coin over it because he felt the parents were being antagonistic and wasting each other's time dragging themselves to court over small things, and he was trying to get them work it out themselves. When his tactic didn't work he went through with his threat and flipped the coin.

In the second case apparently the woman had been in his court several times before and was a noted liar. He wanted to be sure she was telling the truth before he made a judgment on her case. Why he made her drop pants twice I don't know.

Not that this excuses his actions, but it does help to understand what his thought processes were.

True that TPG, but still .... I think Judges need to care about their jobs. Maybe I have rose-colored glasses on about the law system (and I know that the system is majorly flawed, but that's another rant for another time), the system is always touted as being where you can go to get "justice" served.

But at least there are people out there who take their jobs seriously and who make sure the bad apple judges are taken out of their jobs and reprimanded.

*shrug* I dunno. Justice has been lost and perverted in amerika into whomever has the most money for the best lawyer. Yeah a judge who flips a coin is really over the top bad. But a lot of people go out of their way to do stupid frivolous lawsuits too so I dont think its possible to be cynical enough about the american legal system. And I sure dont refer to it as the justice system.
