I believe their "good intentions" were "we are going to save those children from going to hell with their families"

They didn't seem to be even trying to do anything even close to legitimatly.

It's like parents who abuse their kids who have the best of intentions for why.

Can the threads be merged?

They can be, but it's a lot more helpful to actually report the duplicate to a mod so the merge can happen, rather than just posting in the thread and hoping a mod reads it.
