Employer told not to post advert for 'reliable' workers because it discriminates against 'unreliable' applicants

From what I understand is that "discrimination" means you choose one person over another for any reason. I discriminate against short people when I ask a tall person to get something off the top shelf for me.

Also, back in the nineties when I was job hunting, Arby's had a sign up saying they were "hiring discriminating adults".
The key to an open mind is understanding everything you know is wrong.

It's hardly an example of society run amok though, is it? It was just one dolt in one office who didn't understand policy.

The article goes on to mention that "the Equality and Human Rights Commission has stated the Ms Mamo’s original job advert was in no way a breach of any discrimination law."

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.....next they won't be able to ask for those that have experience because that will insult those that haven't done the work before....I mean come ON.

      It's just stupid.

I have a feeling that that job centre won't be getting many vacant positions advertised with them after this.
I am a sexy shoeless god of war!
