    OK....that title's a bit long-winded. The question I'm putting forward is a result of a quote and a link.

I have had multiple discussions with the Electoral Commission and it sounds like they are finally willing to act on any breaches of the electoral code in his material, specifically factual errors. They also say the the Australian Communications and Med...ia authority may have some power over the materials offensive nature. I am a bit dubious though as Trevor Grace's website is from an offshore server which may not come under Australian Law. I am going to lobby that all Australian Electoral candidates are required by law to host their sites within Australia so that they come under Australian law. I would urge everybody else to support this. The first step is to get me one of Trevor's leaflets - can anybody help?
That's from someone on a Facebook group regarding Trevor Grace, one of the candidates at our state election. In short, he's very very pro-life. To the point where his campaign posters fell under scrutiny by the SA Electoral Commission.

This is the website that's she's referring to:

    www.abortsa.com

WARNING: WILL be offensive. Most definitely NSFW.

The website in question is not on an Australian server. Here's my question basically:

For any independent candidate, should it be law for them to be on the server of the country/state they are running for? At the moment, it's not law in Australia.

It only makes sense that the condidates in a country be held to the same standards as everyone else in that country, if the location of the server let's them get around that, IMO it's a simple (and blatant) loophole that needs closing.
