Wait...you ever had faith in the AKC? They're in it for the money; always have been and always will be. They don't give a damn about dogs.

That is very clear now. The only thing I'll support now are CGCs and STAR puppy certifications - great for any pet owner to have and no other kennel club has a similar title.

I know what the CGCs are, but I've never heard of STAR puppy certifications. What are they?

EDIT: never mind, should have googled before posting. Looks like a cool program.

I've pretty much decided that when I train my dogs for competition obedience, I be showing them in UKC trials, not AKC. This kind of stuff only makes me more determined not to have anything to do with the AKC (except for CGCs, of course).
