Actually no it's not, there's completely different psychology behind the acts, in cases of child rape the adult already has power over the child, the act is done for gratification rather than power.

I'm all for executing convicted child rapists, because that shit's inexcusable. But, and I'm sure I've said this before, I could care less how fucked up someone's fantasies are. Actions speak louder than a thousand words, to say nothing of unheard thoughts. I'd imagine that for all the rapists who let themselves go and rape someone there's five who felt the urge and didn't give in. It's fair to say that it's the same for pedophiles.

Anyone who hurts innocent people deserves to have their rights and maybe even their lives taken away. But let's get our terms straight, so to speak. I wouldn't jail a gay man for being gay anymore than a pedo for being a pedo. They aren't the same, but that doesn't change the fact that we're allowed to think whatever we want. Everyone's thought seriously at least once if not repeatedly about doing something illegal, likely something that would bring harm to others. But it doesn't matter unless they do it, and even then, it's only an explanation.

Pedophiles aren't necessarily child rapists, and child rapists aren't necessarily pedophiles. I think you're confusing the two; I never mentioned pedophiles. Once again, to clarify;

A pedophile is a person who is sexually attracted to young children. Such a person may end up committing rape or sexual abuse; but not all of them do.

A child rapist is a person who commits sexual offenses on minors. Such a person is not necessarily a pedophile; they may, in fact, desire POWER over their victims and to control them.

THAT is what I am talking about; you are confusing the issue by dragging pedophiles into it. I know that a lot of people do automatically assume that anyone who rapes a minor is a pedophile, but that's not always the case. Also, not all pedophiles act on their urges. You might as well say that all heterosexual men are rapists, cuz they are sexually attracted to women and want to have sex with women.

My personal wish is that they be put down, just like vicious dogs or man eating tigers would be. They can't be cured from their pedophilia, and there's a chance they could be released from secure units. Obviously, I am thinking of the English execution method, without lengthy appeals and stays in the condemned cell.

Of course, this applies to those who's guilt has been proved without a doubt. Even the slightest bit of doubt would be enough to impose a life sentence; however, life should mean life and not just "serve ten years then get out on parole".

Although you did mention need of proof and weren't implying all pedos = child rapists and visa versa as much as some which is who I was referring to.
