Should children be allowed to have an input in school management?
At least, in the college I went to, that was the case. We didn't call our tutors "Mr" or "Mrs/Miss"; we called them by their first names and they treated us like equals.
Depends on the professor. All of my professors are cool and treat us like colleagues, and we call them by their first name. Other professors in other departments insist on being called Dr. It all depends.
You can dress a student up to look & act all professional & that student may look like an all important adult BUT at the end of the day, they're still children who need mature adult supervision & guidance.

Admin, they paid a lot of money to get that title of Doctor so they want to be called one damnit!
I call most of my teachers by their last name (either Professor X or Dr. X). It's kinda just to show formalities. But I have no problem shooting the breeze with them. In fact I like to bust my head of department's chops as much as humanly possible.
