According to what I saw this morning on CNN, the local sheriff's office is considering abandonment and abuse charges, and Russia is considering a freeze on adoptions to the US. However, from what I know of the country (from a friend who studies Russia and has spent several summers there) it would be par for the course for them to cover up a child's issues to get him out of country. So, what the parents did was awful, however, there needs to be some investigation of what's going on with Russia's adoption system.

From what I read the adoption agency lied about his mental state just so they could get rid of him.

The woman was scared for her life with that kid. He drew a picture of her house with her and her family in it burning to the ground and wrote "this is what I want to do to you and those people." Who needs that?

Is there a more recent article, the ones I've read haven't given any details except kid gets sent back to Russia with a not.

My question is, if she had given birth to this child, and he had these issues, what would she have done then?
Do not lead, for I may not follow. Do not follow, for I may not lead. Just go over there somewhere.
