that and spandex. hate it when people wear leggings as pants. sure, i'll wear leggings...under a skirt. but when people wear them with just a t-shirt? gaaaaaah!!! *twitch*
I saw a girl the other day wearing pantyhose as pants. I'm not even exaggerating. Her shirt was barely covering the important bits.

I actually think some larger girls look good in skinnies, but it really depends on the body type. They are better worn with longer shirts though. Larger guys though? I'm of the same opinion as skinny guys, ick.

If you have a muffin top, it's probably best to cover it up, whatever gender you happen to be. I also hate it when people show off a builder's cleavage... yuck!

I think women of all sizes look cute with skinny pants or leggings with a long tunic-style shirt, with a pair of boots. It's a comfortable and flattering casual outfit on almost everyone.

I agree with Lace that "muffin tops" are not a good look, but I have no problem with large women wearing skinny pants that show off their legs. Baggy clothing does not automatically make a 200lb lady look thin. That isn't gonna happen, so they might as well wear the cute styles they want and flaunt what they have.

With that said, I don't wear skinnies myself, and I'm a size 4. Personally, I think they look best on very young women (teenagers and women in their early twenties) who haven't developed much fat around their hips yet. After that point, I think a pair of boot-leg jeans are much more flattering.

alright, yeah that can look really good. but the ones i have issues with are the ones that wear the wrong fit. like when they're too tight around the top and too long, so they bunch around the ankle. pair that with a shirt that's too tight and/or too short...for some odd reason, that really gets my blood boiling

Its fine if the shirt is long enough that its sort of like a dress. Otherwise it doesn't work, leggings are not pants

Dear god no on them it's worse. I look at them and I want to go out and buy them food. Even when in good shape I am a big guy (stocky) I feel like one bump and I will break these people.

I knew a girl that hated the way her butt looked so always wore skirts but she hated how her legs looked so she wore jeans.

I have to speak to this. All different types of clothing should be made available to women of all sizes. (Yes, I am "plus-sized".) The vast majority of plus-sized shirts feature an empire waistline. I can't wear those because they make me look pregnant. I do better in clothing cut the same way as regular clothing, just in a bigger size. Plus-sized women have all different types of body shapes and will look better in different kinds of clothing. There are some larger women who could totally rock out the skinny jean look. There are some thin women who couldn't.

It all depends how you wear them. If a larger woman is wearing a pair of skinnies that's one size too small, with a top that doesn't cover her stomach, she will look awful. Same woman, but in properly fitting skinnies with a tunic top; looks great.

Count me in as another who despises the empire waist look. I'm sorry, I refuse to wear anything that highlights my bellyfat and makes me look pregnant. Gack!

I remember how frustrated I was a few years ago, when asian-inspired clothing was popular. Almost none of that got made in larger sizes. No pretty asian brocades or mandarin collars for us fat chicks, we can't have that, now can we? Never mind that I've studied real asian clothes- the authentic stuff is usually quite flattering to women of many sizes. But no. Western fashion designers just HAVE to make everything tight, tight, or tighter, to the point where you have to be a stick to make it look good. Forget the graceful look of a real Chinese jacket, it's gotta be painted on!
Even the clothing patterns didn't go up to large sizes.

It just seems that there are so many fashions which would look good on us larger women, but nobody is interested in making them for us. It sucks out loud.

Try living in a city that has a large asian population. I swear half the stores only carry small sizes, and even the small sizes are small. An XL at some stores is probably a med/small in any other store.

Why on earth do people think that plus sized women like to wear ugly old ladyish clothing? Seriously. I'd rather not look like I'm 70 just because I wear a larger size of pants dammit!

I can't find cargo pants in my size unless they are camo which is annoying. I walked away from wearing Camoflouge 8 years ago I don't wish to wear it again.

I used to have the same problem with bras; all the nice, pretty bras only went up to C cup and any bigger sizes were just ugly boulder holders. -.-

It's easier now that a lot of shops have now woken up to the fact that us big chested girls want to wear pretty bras, too!

I own a pair of those exact pants. I love them to death. I would wear those along with a T-shirt and/or hoodie with shoes of some sort, or sandals/flip-flops in the summer, and I would wear them to class.

Why? Because they are comfy and I learn better when I am comfy. Now would I wear a bathrobe to class? Not unless there was some PJ Day thing going on and I wanted a "costume" for it.

But I see a difference in wearing pj PANTS and the PJ booty shorts and matching thin tank tops with them, while they carry around one of those fleece throw blankets with them
