I was recently talking to my gf about firsts. She was explaining her first kiss, and how special it was...and that in some ways how she loved that person more than she loved me. But the way she explained it, I didn't mind; her first kiss/first love had protected her in school and been a great supporting person in my gf's life. Their separation was tragic. As for myself, my first sexual partner is my current gf, and we've sworn that, no matter what, we'll part on good terms and always be friends first.

So, how do y'all view the status of your "first"? Is it a good status/relationship? Or are you still with that person? Was it a special connection, one that you're retained...or have you gone your separate ways?

Do you think 'Firsts' or any such partner/relation should still be allowed in your life?

Alot of my friends still are friends with their firsts. Hell, I know alot of people that still sometimes see or talk to their firsts. Seems there is that special connection. Seems to be more towards woman though. They'd defend their first even if he is a piece of shit. Of all my male friends, only half of them remember and still talk to their firsts. For female friends, (in person) Again half keep in contact/talk, so maybe I'm not best expert.

From what I read? Yeah. There is a connection. However, it takes two to keep that. While that person may feel the connection to his or her first, odds are that person wasn't their first time, and feels little if anything, (Alot of times nonexistant) feelings towards that person, even if it was said person's first time. To them, just another notch on the belt really.

My first (and so far only) girlfriend broke up with me while I was in and out of the mental hospital during high school. Really hurt because I really liked her and wanted someone to be there for me. Haven't talked to her since.

I've yet to have sex, so the that first is yet to come.

My first is my current boyf. We briefly split up for a while, and I had a few casual experiences, but we got back together again and are now stronger than ever.

My first is my ex wife and mother of my child. She wants us to be friends but that will never happen. I have forgiven what she did but we will never be where we once were now we are people tied together by family and I will be nice and pleasant with her accordingly.

My first kiss was in high school and I don't recall it being that special . My first lover ended up being my husband, now ex husband. I don't talk to him much now that our daughter is 20 and he lives in Eugene OR while I live in Portland. I suppose we get along all right but then we never see each other lol.

My first kiss was a girl. We are still friends. My first lover was my best friend, Tattoo. We dated off and on for three years and decided that we were better off as friends, which is okay with me. We are now the best of friends and know each other pretty well. Here is an example from last night:

* I go back into my room after talking on the phone. I see his pants are unzipped*

Tattoo: "I just noticed that my pants have been unzipped this entire time."
Me: "No they weren't. You unzipped them while I was on the phone."
Tattoo: "Damn, you're good! You passed the test. You know me way too well."

As for why he unzipped his pants, he wanted to see if I would notice. I win

My first kiss was from a guy who lived out of town and then dumped me for another girl.

My first 'lover' bullied me into sex when I was 16 and then spent the next year alternating between being loving and being emotionally abusive. All that happened a very long time ago (about 10 years), and I no longer wish for him to die in a fire. However, if I found out that he got dick and ball rot, then I might smile a little.

I'm 26. My first kiss wasn't till I was...20 or 21 maybe? I didn't date in H.S. at all. My first kiss was with a guy who I was madly in love with at the time but the relationship stagnated after a couple years. We still talk occasionally, but I don't even consider him a very close friend anymore.

First time I had sex was when I was 23, and that was with my husband (boyfriend, at the time.) It was wonderful, and we're still together and very happy together. I think, and hope, it will last for a very long time (we were friends for something like 12 or 13 years before we actually started dating, which I think helped a lot in building a healthy relationship.)

Well my first kiss, that was a mistake. A gross, gross mistake. It was with the first person who ever asked me out. My friend's older brother. I was 15 and it was on the first day we met. Just badness all around.


As for my other firsts, that was with my current BF and we've been together for 7 years. So I think that worked out.

my first real kiss and full on sexual encounter was back when I was 14/15 and she was 15/16. we started dating and lasted about a year. she was the one to initiate most of the "fun". but things stagnated/got mired down with other crap after about a year and we broke up. once we left HS I had no contact with her for about the last 27 years or so.

first really long term relationship was with now Ex. ^^^^^ same with my first wife (now Ex-wife) except our child is now over 20 so I really refuse to have contact with the Ex. except I have not really forgiven Ex for what she did over the course of 5 years.

My first kiss was with a girl I had gone to elementary and middle school with. A girl I ended up going to jail for to protect. That actually kinda killed the relationship. I beat the crap out of her ex for hitting her and it was if she was afraid of me after that. While I'd never lay a hand on her, I kinda don't blame her. i was told it was not a pretty sight to see. My family was transferred to the other side of the country shortly after that so I guess the relationship would've ended anyway. It would be about 18 years before I'd ever talk to her again. Thank you MySpace We still talk today.

The girl that took my virginity? I met her at church, had sex with her at church camp (and I wonder why God has cursed me ), and she dumped me three days later for someone else. I haven't spoken with her since. I haven't even tried.

my first kiss was in kindergarten...lol but i don't really count it as my first. my actual first was this kid that had a crush on my freshman year of hs. he came up to me on the last day of school, hugged me, and kissed me. oh so romantic, right?
the first kiss i actually enjoyed tho? uh...um...junior year? i think? my friend's brother. he was so hot.

my first sexual experience, i don't really remember. i was 18 and he was 23. got me drunk and...well, i was probably willing but i don't really remember. oh well.
