I do believe in childcare equality (men should be able to care for children without fear of being labelled a paedophile or classed as 'less than') however I don't let guys change my daughter's nappies.
Why? Well, I used to not care about which gender changed my daughters nappies until I caught our (ex) housemate in the process of maxing out our download limit with some really bad hentai. So he was banned from nappy duty and was told that he was moving out. He seemed like a normal guy, wasn't touchy-feely and claimed that he just wanted to get some practice for when he has his own kids. He was friends with my husband for over 15 years and seemed trustworthy, which is why we let him help out with the kids and be part of the family instead of just being a boarder. I think that his claim that looking at explicit pictures isn't the same as being interested in it IRL is just plain bullshit. No proof that he did anything, other than my eldest daughter getting nightmares on the rare occasion that we see him.
I do know that women and men both can be predators, but I haven't had any bad experiences with women and I hope it stays that way. It's very unfair to label all guys because of one experience, but I don't want to take the risk.
As for the not being able to change nappies, my husband simply can't deal with any bodily fluids or output that isn't his own. He's changed ONE wet nappy, with help, was gagging and was as white as a sheet when he finished. It's much quicker and easier to do it myself, and he does other things around the house to make it fair.

, it's just that I can see both sides of the argument from a parental/personal point of view, and I still intellectually object to the male monster stereotype. I just wish there were a better way to pick out which people should work with children and which ones shouldn't have any contact. Implementing such a system would be near impossible, even if it were to exist. It would also be protested as excessive governmental control, but that's a whole different argument.
