I've been to the Regal Cinema here and have been discounted, even though I don't have my Reserve ID yet (really need to get on that).

I'm inclined to think it's an error of some sort: both students and military, two groups which so often get discounts, are charged *higher* than the regular price... but the only reason they'd show themselves to be such is to get the special rate? VERY fishy

I could understand something like this happening at a small business, if the owner got tired of people asking for nonexistent discounts, but for something like Regal Cinemas, the only purpose would be to deliberately shoot themselves in the foot.

I'm not saying it's NOT true, or even that it HAD to be unintentional... but it sounds very much like something that would turn up on Snopes.

Only matinee prices are listed. I'm wondering what normal full price tickets are. It could be an oversight where the discount is lessthen the regular price but more then the matinee price.

Makes sense to me. I see that all the time discount prices don't apply during matinees when someone I am with shows student or military ID they are told, "Discounts only apply after matinee prices are over for the day."

Never seen one charged a higher price.
