Sterilizing Drug Addicts

I have a huge problem with this. I have a friend who was convicted of a crime that neither him nor his "victim" felt was a crime but they weren't listened to and he was convicted.

On top of that all convicted criminals? Repeat offenders what? I mean every person convicted gets fixed automatically? Doesn't seem fair to me.

I known couples that had sex, even if he was 19 and she was 17. That's saturaory rape and he is convicted.

There are women out there in some states that breastfeed. If caught, they too get convicted for /indecent/ expousure. Also means they go onto sex offender list.

Also: There have been plenty of times, where people who are innocent get thrown into prison. Just last year or two ago, there was a guy who was released from prison after 20 years or something after being proven innocent that he did in fact, not rape and beat this women. (Strangely enough, after he was released (Sued of course and won a settlement) he became friends with the women that did that. I don't think I could do that. At all. They did find the guy that did it after 20 years, and to be fair to the women that said it, they could be twins. Even the guy admited to it. They showed pics and they were damn near clones.

Where do women get arrested for breast feeding in public? More often that not I just hear the flack people get for being offended by seeing a woman's big bare boob out for everyone to see, feeding her baby. Not even using a blanket or trying to be nonchalant and not attract attention, but going braless or wearing something slut-tastic and just whipping the thing out like it's spring break Cancun.

There more out there. They had to make a law in 1999 or something, due to the sheer amount (In the 10,000s) of women being arrested for doing that in public.

Exactly; there are discreet ways to feed a baby without whipping your boobs out for the whole world to see. Sure, it's natural. But so is sex, and no-one's suggesting that you do that in public so that everyone can see. O.o

On the breastfeeding topic: there was an incident not too far from my place where a woman was approached by security in a specific area designated for breastfeeding....while she was breastfeeding her kid.
I've also seen a Muslim woman breastfeed her kid right next to me...she did endeavour to cover up at least. (by how much I have no clue)
On the other extreme, I've had women at my old store pull their top down and start breastfeeding their kid right in front of me.

Actually back ON topic: I know some people in my state who would love to see this idea extended to childbearing women of all ages.

If the people that are being sterilized know that they will never can have children again then who to say it is bad. Many children do not make it out of these situations. Those who do are a special group.

There are many people that are addicted that do not want to have children. If they get paid for something they want then it is a win win solution. Besides, how many doctors would sterilize a woman willingly. No one seems to question if a man doesn't want children.

I know it might sound strange but these addicts that are willing to be sterilized are acting responsibly. They know they cannot care for a child so they are taking steps not to have one.
