A gamer had his Xbox Live account suspended because his address was deemed offensive.

His profile location was 'Fort Gay WV'.

I think he was doomed the moment he told the Microsoft employee to 'Google it'.

The director of policy and enforcement for Xbox Live, Toulouse, sounds like a real winner. According to the article, an apology hasn't even been offered to the guy who was suspended ("Toulouse said he will contact Moore and apologize") and there were a couple of phrases in there that just struck me like they must think they can do no wrong. "we rarely make mistakes" and "in this very, very specific case, a mistake was made" ... just strikes me like he thinks they never screw up and it's a terrible thing that he has to apologize to someone now because they did screw up. Everybody's human, but come on, when Moore gave you guys a specific zip code and you couldn't even bother to take 5 seconds to check it out before telling him you couldn't help him and that his account will be banned if he uses the phrase "Fort Gay" on his profile again, yeah, that's a pretty big mistake.

It's funny, I used to play a game called Shadowbane and I was gonna make a character named Enola Gay (yes yes offensive) but it wouldn't allow it. So I did Bocks Car instead (still offensive).
