  • So, assault is funny if it's against a cheating man

I found this on a friend's Facebook, and I must say, I was stunned at the people who found this funny or didn't see a problem. Rather than stir up controversy on someone else's page, I posted it on my own page with this comment:

"Rather than stir up controversy on someone else's page, I had to post this here and say that I will never understand the double standard. If he glued his cheating partner's vagina shut, there would be hell to pay. Why is it only funny if the violence is against a cheating man? "

These were some of the comments I found from on her page:
I just don't see the problem here....

    Seems completly reasonable to me!

You mean she got in trouble for that? What is this world coming to?

MY LORD, that's ALL she did!!!! PFFFFFFTTT!!!!!

going to hell by the sounds of it...

could have been worse...at least the world knows his penis reaches his stomach! Imagine if she only had enough length to glue it to his balls!

    *snort*
    Oh dayam...

    hahahahahahaha

LMAO!!!! I hope it was super glue! Hey he's lucky she coulda done a Bobbitt on his sorry ass!

HA HA, Nice!!! That is some funny stuff!

thank you for the wonderful belly laugh... I needed this...
    So...why is it funny?
    Point to Ponder:

Is it considered irony when someone on an internet forum makes a post that can be considered to look like it was written by a 3rd grade dropout, and they are poking fun of the fact that another person couldn't spell?

Schadenfreude and lynch mob mentality. The feeling of superiority (moral and situational) contributes to humor, and the revenge-seeking, self-justifying lynch mob mentality helps everyone get together and feel like it's okay because of what he did.

You just know that case has already gotten worse by now. Legal issues aside, by now, the man has probably at least given her an earful, if not a black eye.

I don't find it funny at all. Assault is assault regardless of who it is against and for whatever reason.

          On-topic:
For some odd reason sexual-related issues are OK if it's woman -> man but you'll have lynch mobs of it's man -> woman.

There are so many examples of how society is against a man doing something that is OK for a woman.

Someone drives a white van for work, they stop at a playground parking lot to eat their lunch.

If it's a man most people assume he's a pedophile.
If it's a woman most people assume it's OK.

When I lived in NH in my first computer related job the owner of the company had done some jail time. He started OK but later it went downhill. He would say to me "if you were my cell-mate I'd rape you". A bit unnerving but I needed the job (and I was young) and I ignored it.

Then he escalated to "I'm going to rape you" "I want to rape you". He then escalated to grabbing me in various places. Luckily I only put up with this for a couple of days until I quit on the spot (the only job I've ever quit on the spot).

I looked into legal advice and according to NH law at the time a man COULD NOT file any kind of sexual harassment suit (nor could someone file a suit if the accused was the same gender). In other words, the law was written so it was only illegal for a man to sexually harass a woman.

There's a loit of gender hypocrisy out there today.

Because he's a man. Which mean he's privilged. And everyone knows it's cool to stick it to the man (no pun intended)!

This is just one of those double standards, however, this is one of the only ones that works in the female's favor.

I found it hilarious because I'm from Wisconsin and that's what a lot of the backwood idiots around here do.....not necessarily super glue sex organs, but you get what I mean......stupid shit for revenge or for thrills. Hell, not even just Wisconsin.

This is why I have a hard time connecting with feminists who claim that they "still have a lot of work to do" and that "the goals of feminism are still far from being reached." Perhaps they still face some discrimination, but let's face it, they've managed to tilt several of the scales in their favor. A couple examples include draggar's example and divorce court.

I expect part of it is the same reason many people find being hit in the balls funny (so long as it's someone else, of course.) I cannot get the link to work, but going solely on the description here, it's basically just a nuisance, no real harm done. Not that I approve or anything, far from it... but think how many people cheered Lorena Bobbit, and that was far worse.

sorry someone has to post this

                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV1LWhNpTJU

There have been enough instances of this and similiar stuff in the news. I will have to search CS but I know in my neck of the woods Irv posted a local story about 3 women supergluing a cheaters "thang". then there is the nationally famous case of Lorana Bobbette.
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

You mean besides assault cases, rape cases, custody battles, divorces, getting out of stuff because it's gross or too tough so men have to do it, getting drinks, waiting for someone to make the first move, getting out of tickets...

This list goes on and on. Women get away with a lot more because they aren't as big and strong and tough as men. While we know that's a load of crap (why they aren't held to the same standards as men), so many women are willing to accept it so things go their way that it's nuts.

Start paying me as much as my male colleagues for the same work, and I'll stop letting people buy me drinks and flirting my way out of tickets.

I was speaking relationshipwise, Greenday. Let's not make this about who has it better as far as things that aren't related to this.....obnoxious assault case.

And Racket Man, this story was about the group of ladies from Wisconsin who were all screwing the same guy so they all got together and got him in a hotel and superglued his dick to his belly button.

Oh Greenday, you'd love to work where I work. Young males can stand around and fuck off all shift long, while young ladies asses are rode rougher than a porn star at a donkey show. Seriously, I am watched like a hawk my entire shift, snipped at if I dare walk away for one moment, the guys I work with do NOTHING all night long but talk, sometimes I have to leave my machine to walk up to them because they are ignoring me, and I STILL get in trouble for that. And my productivity is watched and monitored like hell and they are NEVER given shit if they don't get enough done. It's not fucking fair at all. I didn't want to use this card, I really didn't, but I'm starting to think I work in a really sexist work area, where young males aren't expected to work as hard as females, because of the stupid stereotype that girls are more mature.

Funny, every job I've worked at the girls made more than me. Even the ones I trained after I had been there a few years.

Not counting my current job (because it all is equal when you work for the government), every job I've had before this guys did nearly all the work. Women got all the special treatment in the world. "Aw, X, you aren't feeling well? You can go home. Aw, Greenday, you just threw up in the bathroom from your stomach virus? Suck it up." When I worked for Aramark, we got paid salary. If you worked a regular concession stand, you made about $40 a day. If you served a picnic, you made $80. Most days, it was all women working the picnics. Also, beer stands would easily clear $100-$150 a day in tips. No guys were EVER scheduled to work on one. The only reason I was able to make $80 on a good day while serving calm chowder and hot dogs on mid-summer heat was because I was personable. I became friendly with a ton of the regulars and they would treat me well. But the women working beer stands didn't even get regulars since they worked little portable stands and would dominate in tips every day.

While this is definitely not okay, he really should count his blessings. I've seen several news stories recently about cheating men having their male bits....removed....by enraged lovers.
