What's even more disgusting is he spent 2 years on paid leave after it too. If this world has taught me anything, it's that the criminals are actually better off than those of us that abide by the laws.

Unfortunately he probably will, seems like the jerkwads of the world have too much luck. This is why I love the texting laws, and wish more places had them. Way too many times have I almost been hit by some moron talking or texting on a phone.

I drive a lot for work and it's sad to say that I can point out someone on their phone (oddly, people using a headset are harder to notice) from miles away.

Erratic speeds (80, 40, 80, 40, 80, 40, etc..) or overly slow speeds (15 or more under the speed limit) in a passing lane , swerving, drifting, over-compensating, short-braking, and mutliple lane exits (going form the 3rd or 4th lane to the left all the way to the exit in one swoop), are all signs of someone using their phone while driving.

Oddly, they're also all signs of drunk driving (except for erratic speeds).

When I see them I make it a point to pay extra attention to them. It's sad that in their own self-entitled world that everyone has to look out for them for their own oblivious habits.

You have to actually be sent to prison first.

According to this thread you can be in total neglect of your job and the people around you, kill two people, and still get a 2 year paid vacation with a possible workman's comp check coming in too.

And according to this thread, you can rape multiple underage girls and only get probation.

Then there are the celebrities that get busted for the nth DUI or drug possession and only spend a few hours in a holding cell before being released for time served.
