Going back to the original subject; I already stated dozens of times that I do NOT support the people attacking this girl and her family. However, her suicide does not whitewash the fact that she cried rape. That should be an end to it; people shouldn't be Facebooking and making horrible pictures and attacking the girl's family. She's dead now, the rape charge has been dropped so leave her alone.

Do people still get STDs even though their partner claim they're clean (Even though they aren't) Yeah, big possibly.

The problem I have with those two examples is, that they're more closely related in cause-and-effect than the situation you're comparing them to. The STDs and pregnancy are a natural consequence, like when you stick your hand into the fire and get burned. The go-to-jail consequence for being mislead about her age is more like if you stick your hand in the fire and your mom grounds you in your room for being a dumbass. In a case like this, it makes more of a difference to me.
