And Salt Lake is just as bad... if it is religious terrorists we are talking about, we are the global headquarters of a rather large Christian sect (Mormonism). We also act as a regional finance center, the corporate headquarters of Zions Bank is in downtown, as well as large regional offices for Wells Fargo and Chase. We, believe it or don't, have a huge tourist industry, if they were to attack the Salt Palace during the Outdoor Retailers convention they'd kill thousands... do it right and they could get part of Temple Square with it.
To the north we have an IRS tax return center in Ogden. To the east we have Park City which has several large events and the south has BYU and the Missionary Training Center, both would be amazingly good targets if you wanted to damage Mormonism.
I think pretty much anywhere can find something of value for a terrorist to hit, dwelling on it isn't going to help matters (though, for the record, I am still amazed that we had two quasi terroristic attacks in Salt Lake when I worked at the airport and neither one involved the airport... or any other target you'd think they'd target. One person shot up a old run down mall, killing maybe half a dozen, and another person detonated a bomb in the library killing all of zero people and no injuries either, the idiot hid the bomb in a fireplace that absorbed most of the blast).
