And remember (for you younger folks) this "no bush" movement is absolutely a social trend that didn't exist a scant 20 years ago (well it did, but it was basically confined to pr0n- it wasn't the norm as it is now.)

So, it is entirely possible that in 20 years when these girls are in their late 20's or 30's it will no longer be in style.

I don't care if it's not in style. No frotch for me, ever. Not until the day I cannot physically shave it myself.

Bell bottomed jeans are no longer in style, but you won't see me running to buy skinny jeans.

Somehow I don't see this trend dying any time in the near future.

No, she didn't say anything of the sort. You're reading a lot more into it than was there.

She's saying that young girls are being given the idea that men want women to look pre-pubescent due to these practices. Which is precisely what I took from it all when I was that age.

I've never really understood why everybody buys into the idea that body hair is so gross. If a person keeps themselves clean, it's no worse than facial hair. I don't shave, myself, because I think it's an assinine activity, and can assure you that any deodorant worth putting on is just as effective with hair as without and much less likely to lead to sebaceous cysts.

I'm of the opinion that most people think it's gross not as a natural reaction but more as a result of societal programming. I, being the non-conformist I am, have never let society do my thinking for me. If someone else gets weirded out because there's hair under my arms, that's their problem.

I base my opinion of its grossness on personal experience. Without hair is MUCH more pleasant than with hair.

As for the pre-pubescent thing, it's still completely wrong. I prefer women shaved. I don't want them to look like a child, I want them to look like a woman that shaved or trimmed. A woman who has shaved does not look like a child.

I personally prefer to shave. Not cuz hair is gross or yucky (in winter, there will be a couple of weeks growth, then I will be meeting the fiance and/or going out and out will come the razor and shave gel) but cuz it's my preference. Just as I personally prefer men to not have a big Santa Claus beard, but some women love them.

Eight years old? That's seriously pushing it. Let the damned kids stay children; childhood is getting shorter and shorter. Eight year old girls should still be playing with Barbie, not worrying about having their privates waxed.

Smooth and soft is just so much cleaner and sexier looking.

You may be just as clean with body hair, but you feel cleaner and sexier when you're all bare and smooth. At least I do. There is something so fresh feeling when I get out of the shower and my armpits, legs, and ya there too are nice and smooth.

Same here. I also find that your skin stays more exfoilated if you shave before getting out the body scrub. Then moisturise and you will be all soft and smooth. ^^

Once or twice a week I just put cocoa butter all over myself. It's great.

Otherwise I just moisturize like a mofo.

I actually have less hair now than when I used to shave.

I also save a lot of money on razors, shaving gel, other gel to treat the damage shaving does. Plus, I never get itchy, don't get ingrown hairs, and don't have to waste up to an hour every morning keeping things in line.

I don't shave my legs or *there* every day, despite how some of my previous posts may seem. I shave my armpits every day and groom my eye brows every few days, because those hairs are just out of control fast growing.

Shaving your privates every day guarantees nasty burn and itch, so I keep that to every few days, if not just twice a week. It doesn't get long enough to be gross in just a few days. Not shaving my legs for a few days is just stubble, and I live alone so it doesn't bother anyone but me.

I need to moisturize more, my poor poor body... I like shaving. I don't feel like a little girl when I do. I would try waxing, but I have a feeling that it would hurt like a bitch. I could barely even get my EYEBROWS waxed one time, never mind anywhere...delicate. I know someone who waxes her armpits. I don't know if I could do that ever.

But 8-year-old girls? DO NOT NEED A FUCKING BIKINI WAX. Holy shit there is so much wrong and fail there, 'tis unbelievable.

Jeez, at least wait until you're a teenager and have hit puberty. Then there's actually something to get rid of down there.

Great. Bulk of the posters here just gave me a bunch of anime style nose bleeds.

Thank you very much. You can all chip in for the new computer monitor that I need.

Forgot to add my opinion on the matter.

I don't really care one way or another what people do.It's their bodies. It's not surprising however to see people clamour for one side or another, people are always going to drag in how a person looks in all walks of life, even the blind do that. Just let people choose how they want to look, even down there, rather then being grossed out or sicken. Don't date the person then, and make it clear up front you expect a man and/or woman to look that way down there. Some people will do it to make potentional or SO happy, others won't want to do it.

Personally I can not remember the last time I shaved my legs. I mean we have hair on them for some reason. I dont shave or wax *there* as once again there is a reason it is there, under the arms. meh. Personally I don't have a problem with body oder as I keep myself clean. Society *especially American* pushes that you have to shave, and be hairless, and smooth to be feminine. Here is a funny read

Personally I do not think that a child needs to wax at all, I mean body hair is there for a reason, and if it is to look better then why don't men shave, or for smell... Meh never understood the whole thing in the first place.

I don't shave there, and probably never will. The thought of the itching really doesn't appeal to me frankly. I don't think shaved is gross, but it's not what I choose to do. I don't see why anyone should think that having hair where there is supposed to be hair naturally would be gross, but to each their own.

I shave my legs and armpits though when I'm wearing skirts and such. Just cause I don't want to look like I have man legs.

And while some men wouldn't ask a woman to do it if he wasn't willing to, a lot of them do expect it. I'm glad I'm with someone who doesn't care one way or the other. He's brought it up, but I said if he did it I would, he doesn't want to. He's not grossed out by it though.
