Indeed. The only people claiming that an adult let them in, is the principals defense lawayer.

      Interesting case.

Supposedly a "relative passing by" gave them permission to enter. I find that excuse rather unconvincing. But the question still remains as to how he and the counselor gained entrance.

It appears that the mother, who lives with the boys, filed a complaint with the school when this happened back in September, but it wasn't until a month later that the father (who lives elsewhere in the state) filed charges with the police.

The Principal has been placed on leave since the charges with police were brought and has been voted to be kept on paid leave for now, and likely through the duration of the investigation.

Ya know what the truly scary part of all this is?

That so many parents are actually supporting his actions. Ummm....no. For me the line is trespassing/breaking and entering. He went too far, regardless of how he or his sheep justify it.

There is never an excuse for being allowed into a home under false pretences, or breaking and entering, period.

That principal needs to be fired.

Exactly. What has he done that makes so many people think he's a good principal for breaking into someone's house to see if kids were skipping school?

I belive that they see him as a man who refuses to allow a child to skip school, in a country where several kids do skip school to join gangs and all that.

I wonder if he created.... this robot....

End of discussion. The Principal overstepped the limits.
Exactly, just showing up to check on them screams control freak. Hell, even if he had sent someone over to ring the doorbell, I'd find this odd. It's a fine example of schools overstepping their boundries. This guy not only crossed the line, he went over the fucking stadium by breaking into their house. All because he thought they were faking sick to skip school. Well with a principle like that, I wouldn't blame them for wanting to get out of school!!!

I gotta ask, am I totally evil for sometimes being awfully tempted to stalk some bars to see if coworkers are really "sick" or not?

Of course I never do it, but I've thought of it many times, especially on Thursday nights when a lot of ladies are missing (Thursday night is Ladies' Night here).

                    We have that at work
one guy phoned in sick and I said to the supervisor
"You can't have a sunday morning without a saturday night"
"Well you shouldn't have gone out saturday night then"
                    "I wasn't talking about me"

same guy also called in sick 2 weekends in a row, meaning he was off for 4 of them as we work 2 in every 3 weekends, with neck problems
"the only neck problem he's got is how many he necked last night" I replied the first time, the second I said he should see his GP if he genuinly has neck problems, but funny how its only on the weekends.

My boss asked me to do say something if my coworkers werent sick if they called in sick because I too, was a boss, and were friends with them. Them calling in sick meant we had to work extra, and it's bs to do so if coworker was just going to go get drunk.

Some coworkers were sick. Others just wanted to get high. The funny thing, if they were just flat out honest with boss, as in saying I really want this day off as a personal day, she'd likely give it to them.

That's just it, Plaid. We have PTO that we acrue and are able to use at my work, and yet for some reason, people waste it on calling in sick (which gives you a tick on your record) instead of ahead of time just requesting it off.

Once, this co-irker of mine took three weekends off in a row cuz her kids were sick. -.- Yeah. Right. And get this, she only worked weekends. She got told off after the second time and told that if she did it again, she'd be in trouble. Then she did it again. She was then told that if it happened again, she'd be in the shit.

The next weekend, she pulled the same stunt and was told that if she didn't come in, then not to bother coming back. She threw a huge stink and accused my boss of discriminating against parents.
"Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

I am not defending the principal in any way, BUT...if there were sick kids in the house, why wasn't one of the parents at home?

Probably because they had to work. My mom used to go to work when I was sick. I mean, what was my mom going to do when I had a stomach virus? Just sit there and watch me throw up? Not like she could actually do anything. And if it got worse, I could just call her or my grandmother.

A bar is a not a private place. You are free to go there and hang out and (if desired) check to see if someone is there. A home is a private place, you can not enter without proper permission.
