"2. Everyone is offended by something.

The best we can do is prohibit discussion about matters that offend at least half of the membership.

So if jokes about big cars/small dicks and prison rape aren't considered offensive by the majority of people, that's (arguably) a societal problem. CS.com isn't in the business of fixing society."

As pointed out later in the thread, it also violates the rules.

I'm female (despite what some people might think) and I like to tell sexist jokes... against both men and women. I've beaten down guys in blonde joke telling contests, and I know quite a few anti women jokes and think they're funny. However, I try to keep my warped sense of humour off CS.com as it's not appropriate for there.

As for the "big car small dick" thing; well, I tend to think when cut up, "Bitch," regardless of whether it's a man or woman. In fact, the worst drivers where I am are not the compensation drivers but the mombies in their battle wagons.

How is that the "opposite?" I haven't taken a stance on this issue in this thread at all. I'm just trying to clarify the moderating team's position. Which is to say, we don't have one. We're just trying to keep the peace.

The thread in which you quoted me was one in which I was replying as a member. So those would be my personal feelings on the subject. But as a moderator, I'm not going to force those feelings on everyone else.

It's not just the guys who do that. What about the asshole in the riced-out Honda Civic (or even the asshole on the Harley)...who has to rev his engine at *every* traffic light? As much I'd like to joke that they're suffering from LDS (Little Dick Syndrome), they're not. All they're doing is attempting to draw more attention to themselves. "Look at me, I'm totally kewl!" in other words. They think lots of noise makes them more desirable to members of the opposite (or same) sex. And if you feel so strongly about this, why did you not contact Raps, instead of making a thread in a way, bashing several members and the moderating team?

When I first read the link in the OP's post, it was pretty obvious to me that you (blas) weren't intentionally displaying the sentiment described in this thread. I responded because the general topic is one that I have noticed in society.

When a post is reported, we have to take a view on whether or not there will be (or has been) serious offence taken. Many reported posts result in no or minor action taken.

I doubt anything will be done. It would ruffle too many feathers to actually promote equality. Some protected classes are too wrapped up in their own victimhood to realize they have achieved the status of "special rights" as opposed to equal rights.
If you actually call them out on it you are the bad guy... because in the 50s their grandmother was discriminated against.

I'm not so worried about the fact that it was a post that I made that is on the rotiserie right now, it's the fact that several members who I care about and a moderator were even involved in the thread, and I have a feeling if Kink didn't think the thread would stay decent, she would have said something about it and nipped it in the bud before it got longer.

In a way I agree with Bedlam, and in a way..not. See I am very hard to offend in any way shape or form. I've been called red neck (both for being part Indian and being from the 'South'), etc. Doesn't bother me a bit...

However, it does seem that anybody can say anything they want against a middle aged white male and it is ok. If they say something back they are evil, sexist, racist, etc.

Equal opportunity jokes and such are funny. If somebody says "All guys who drive sports cars are making up for small .." then turn around and says.."Women drivers scare me!" then hey more power too them. If one type is ok, and another not..then something is wrong.

IE..if anti-black jokes are bad..then so should anti-white jokes. If calling somebody the 'n' word is bad, then so should somebody calling somebody the C-word (Cracker ).

Since we all like jokes, then unless it includes profanity or is way over the top..everything should be allowed.

Society has taken 'equality' and defined it as special privileges. Which Imo is wrong.

I'm the same. I know quite a few offensive anti-women jokes, which I wouldn't dare to air on CS.com cuz I'd get blasted (especially by those who still think I'm male). As far as I'm concerned, a joke is funny no matter who it's aimed at. And I know a lot of offensive jokes.

People still think your male? I thought that was taken caer of a long time ago.

Anyway you'd send me those jokes?

I find it interesting that you posted so intently on how terrible it is to poke fun at a male's penis size, then you make a hit and run post about a cunt on the rag.

Or was that not you? Please tell me it wasn't.

That was part of his reasoning as to why it's not fair that women on CS can make fun of a man's junk size.

And based on how you seem to be offended...I'd say his point is proven.

^Actually, I think her point is that if he's so offended at making jokes about guys, what the hell is he doing making jokes about girls. Then he's using a double standard as well...if that was actually him.
