If the OP was to use that phrase in a post on CS, his post would be modded and he'd probably get a nasty message from the mods for breaking the rules.

Whereas it's always been okay to break the rules when it involves being sexist against men.

It's about equality. Equality has become more equal to special priviledges these days.

I agree with Mytical, that race or sex based double standards suck. I don't buy that white people should have to put up with being made fun of or called nasty names, just because other whites have done it to minorities in the past.
Take blackface for example- the nasty, racist cariacature kind.
If I saw a black person making fun of whites by painting themself up as a rediculous parody of a white person, and going around saying "Look at me, I'm a dumb white cracker!", then yes I would be offended. I might say to the person "I bet You would be PISSED if somebody showed up in blackface, yelling the N word, so why are you doing the same thing? Racism is racism, and it sucks no matter who does it."

I hate it when I hear non-whites proclaim proudly that they go out of their way to be nasty to white people, because in the past, white people have been racist to them. I hate that somebody treated them so poorly because of their race or ethnicity, to make them that angry. That absolutely sucks. I hate that they're lashing out at innocent people most of the time, instead of at the ones who actually wronged them. And I hate the fact that they're playing right into the hands of the bigoted when they do that. White bigots can point to these people and say "Now you see that? There's proof that they hate us and don't want to fit into society or act civilized!"

How so ? He's being hypocritical. He makes fun of women, while screaming men shouldn't be treated like that.

I don't know about anyone else but I took it to mean that if he said *insert joke* that it would be blasted, but that it's often ok to say *insert joke*

I didn't take it as him actually making fun of women, but giving an example of a joke that would be taken offense to if posted on a forum.

No, he was saying that if he can't make a joke like that, why can people make sexist jokes against men.

I took a look at Customers Suck!, and located the post that people are apparently referring to :

                Hit and Run!

Just last week i got a big ding in my bumper from some dumb c*** on the rag who was too intent on her phone conversation to notice that I had stopped. I got out of my car and she almost ran me over trying to get away. (I got her license plate though. I hope the cops get her).
That was posted by somebody with the username "bedlam." Assuming it is the same person as the "bedlam" who is the OP here . . . It seems fairly clear to me that he was trying to make a point.

Since the moderators and members of CS! don't seem to have a problem with the "big cars/small dicks" comments, he decided to go ahead and use the "c*** on the rag" phrase and see if anybody would get worked up over it.

In the OP, bedlam specifically stated that if one phrase isn't permissible, then the other one shouldn't be, either. So I'm guessing that if the CS! moderators take any action over his "Hit and Run" post, he would cite that here as an example of hypocrisy on the part of CS!.

It's not that bedlam is being hypocritical. Rather, he's attempting to show that the moderators and members of CS! are . . . If they are. So far, his "Hit and Run" post seems untouched.
"Well, the good news is that no matter who wins, you all lose."

Exactly. He screams about women doing that to men, and turns around and does it against women. It's hypocritical.

If he wants women to not do it, he can't ether.

If he wants to do it, like he's proven, then they can too.

                  Pretty simple.

It's only hypocritical if he means it. I'm pretty sure he doesn't, but he is doing it to prove a point. If he believes he can call a woman a cunt on the rag because she drives like an idiot, then you can call him a hypocrite. In the meantime, he's merely employing a tactic to try to prove his point of view, that the mods are biased.

How so? His thread is still open. Hasn't been closed. He hasn't been given any infactions.

                      No-one has replied ether.

Which just goes to show that he was wrong, that the mods aren't biased. It doesn't prove anything at all about him actually believing what he said.

                          Ahh. Good point.

I also noticed the date. I thought he posted that rag post before he posted this. My mistake.

Ether way, I see the light

The thread would have been closed if he gotten an infractions. I never seen or heard of a thread and/or post left open after it caused an infraction. Thus he didn't get one for that post.

Bedlam is "Trainee" level at CS.com, which means that each of his posts are read and approved by a moderator before appearing in the forums.

The "cunt on a rag" post was read by a moderator and approved. It has also had 76 views and no reports have been made.

Which I'm assuming has taken a bit of the wind out of their sails.
