Oh, no, there are lots of infractions that nobody ever hears about. Most of the time, they're probably just a post removal or edit and private note to the offender. With nobody but the mod and offender and the reporter, if it was reported and they're paying attention) the wiser. From what I can tell, the mods only get visibly involved when it's something that's likely to spread and they're working to nip it in the bud. And that doesn't get into the edits they make without infractions because the post in question wasn't breaking any rules, but had too high a probability of causing rule-breaking by at least part of its content.

I've been on both sides of that (offender and offended) and seen it in action.

Even worse, some other people took up the cause and decided to do the same with their own agenda.

Sometimes I feel like the only thing that would please certain people would be for us Mods to lay down in the fucking street and have traffic run us over. Would that be satisfactory?

      Yeah, I said it.

is it wrong to want fairness in the application of rules which again state:

        2. No Offensive or Controversial Content
        Offensive and controversial content on this board includes derogatory comments directed at any particular race, religion, or sex;
when the mods allow males to be bashed with derogatory comments left and right(and even join in) but step in quicker than a lightening bolt the second someone says anything derogatory about females-you don't see a problem with that being not enforcing the rules fairly and evenly?

The rules state any gender, not it's ok to bash males but females are off limits.

Exactly my point. His post had ZERO edits, was NOT removed. Had it been edited, or removed, that would mean he likely DID get a infraction. Since it was NOT removed, was NOT editted, he did NOT get an infraction. Get my point?

I'm not saying any of those things. I do, however, have to question your decision to complain about it in a thread versus going to the mod team or Raps with your concerns.

            Have you done that?

Okay, I have to speak up here since this has turned into such a shitstorm.

I'm the one who made the dick comment. Not Blas. Whille I suppose many here will accuse me of splitting hairs, I did not equate aggressive behavior or car size with penis size. I commented that some people react to cars getting in front of them as if they felt dominated or insulted.

I could have said "rains on their parade", "fucks with their happy", or "spits in their cheerios." However, I have a crude sense of humor and my actual quote was "makes their dick shrink."

If that offended anyone, and clearly it did, I apologize. Wasn't my intention. However, anyone here was welcome and encouraged to use the report button. Yes, you can report a mod. And if you had, I would have taken down the post immediately and apologized in order to keep the peace. I am not immune to Mr. Report Button.

If it's important to anyone, I suggest you mosey on over there and report the offending post. I'll personally take it down. Until such time, it will stay.

I figure a lot of you need the practice on the report button anyways. Have at it.

No. But it is wrong to go on a public crusade about it. It's not a matter of the rules being enforced unevenly as much as the rules just not being enforced because nobody seems to really care, and one side getting bashed more thoroughly than the other.

If it was a big issue with a significant number of the forum members, then they'd be hitting the report button, and the mods would be taking action. But it just isn't happening.

There's a right way and a wrong way to do things, and this is the wrong way.

Except that his post, bashing females for no other reason than to prove a point, is still there, is still unmoderated.

Yet again, the report button is there; if you see someone violating the rules, use it. If you haven't used it to report each and every one of those posts you claim exist, then you are part of the problem and this is still not the solution.

No kidding. It doesn't have a shock buzzer attached. It won't result in an immediate lash-out by moderators. Nobody but you and they will even know it happened.

If people see something they think is wrong, they need to hit that happy little button and let the mods know they have an issue, and what that issue is, and why it's an issue.

It's not rocket surgery; I've done it myself.

Oooh, oooh, I was proud of myself, I used the report button the other day and did not say anything about it in the thread!

                  ...it wasn't about this, though.

I use it sometimes, but I worry that I'm annoying the mods if I use it too often. XD

I also don't see why every single issue that someone gets sand in their pussy over has to spawn a huge song and dance, but then, that's just me.

Hey, you know what? In case you haven't noticed, we're volunteers, chosen by the OWNER of the site. If you think we suck that much, then please, petition Raps for new mods. As it is, we run our decisions past each other and Raps.

It's been said before, it will be said again:

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A POST, REPORT IT!!!!

In case you haven't noticed, there's over 800 000 posts, with hundreds more made daily. There are roughly a dozen mods, who, believe it or not, actually work 9+ hours a day IRL. We do this because we love CS.com, not for the fame, glory, money and fanclubs.

As a result, we cannot read absolutely every single post that is made in the course of a day. That is why there is a report button. It's not hard to use it. Even my father, who is over 60 years old, understands the concept, and how to put it in practice.

We don't mind if there's a load of reported posts, even if it's just to say "Hey, these two posts could be merged" or something along those lines. It actually makes our job easier.

What alot of members seem to "conveniently" forget, is that Raps forks his own money out of his own pocket for these two forums. There's no membership fee, no advertising, etc. If you don't like how it's run, feel free to fork your money out for your own site, and see what it's like.

Yep. My test post is missing now. I don't remember which posts I reported but the thread is still there (with some edits now).
So who is being the hypocrit?
I posted the "on the rag" post well after I reported the other posts. It was obviously a test and proven me correct.

If i did a search for all the male bashing and reported all of them it would take a long time, as there is a wait between each report.

This thread is to get the word out that we will not ever have equality if we continue giving out special rights as opposed to equal rights. The pendulum swings both ways and is fueled by the resentment of those special rights.

I am done with CustomersSuck.com. I will go back to being a lurker again. I love your stories and have used them in the past to help educate co-workers, but i will never endorse a site that allows so much one-sided sexism.

Maybe I will try again next year.

I got out of my car and she almost ran me over trying to get away. (I got her license plate though. I hope the cops get her).
As you can see it is still up, and unedited.

As for the dick jokes you're bitching about? They're JOKES. Most of which were made by GUYS, believe it or not. The very people with the same equipment are cracking those jokes. You're the only one who seems to have such a chip on his shoulder about it - methinks the lad doth protest too much.

As for equality and sexism? What do you know about being on the receiving side of sexism? If you want to insult a man, you either go for the dick, or you tell him his mom's a slut/bitch/whore etc. If you want to insult a girl, you go straight for pretty much everything.

Until you've been spoken down to, openly ogled, had random parts of your body groped while you walk through a crowd, been expected to defer to a male simply because of his Y chromosome, called all sorts of names when you don't agree to fuck a complete stranger on the street, etc etc, you can't really claim to know anything about sexism.

As for equality, I'm from South Africa. We have one of the most liberal constitutions in the world, and yet women are still second class citizens in vast parts of my country. Traded like cattle, paid for like goods, treated like dirt.

Until you've menstruated a week in my tampon, don't come bitching to me about equality and sexism. Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.

                                Indeed he did.

Bedlam, can you describe the post, please? The only posts I could find in your posting history were deleted for calling out other members and for posting Fratching material at CS. Nothing I could find regarding sexism. I could be wrong, so if I'm mistaken, I apologize and hope you will set me straight.

If you mean that your " test posts" were any of those, all I can say is "awesome." Our system for keeping innappropriate posts off CS is working wonderfully.
