  • Local Park Destroyed

    Local News channel 7
    newspaper article, front page

Our town's park was burnt down, why would someone do this. Shiver Me Timbers Millenium Park...
Today's newspaper said the police dogs trained to sniff out fire accelerants found that on areas of the park. My thoughts were it was arson, someone possibly drunk and not realizing where they were, or kids or something. However it was between the hours of 5 and 6 am and thus why its arson as no one is supposed to be at the park that early. At least not kids.

what was the point of this if to further drain the city's funds, deny kids their new park, and to get back at the mayor or whomever. thanks...i was going to go there this friday weather allowing for our first actual outing....thanks so much for ruining it for everyone

That's really sad, Lexia. I hope they find the people that did it.

no news yet, but the story was on this morning, and will find out maybe a bit more this evening. Haven't found anyone. If there are any fingerprints they either got burnt off or something...most of what CSI says is true....

My hometown made a park dedicated to the hunters who were slaughtered in the 2004 deer hunting masacre. It was just a simple park, but it had a really big decorative stone with the names of the victims and it holds meaning to that community.

Some stupid fucking kids started a fire in the bathrooms at that park this last summer. My brother and I were driving to grandma's house which is nearby the park, and the tape was all over the doors and you could see all the damage.

            Stupid fucking kids.

people are already banding together to rebuild and get supplies needed etc. I think they are trying to ideas going until they can level the area to start again or at least rebuild from what wasn't destroyed as the park is still a crime scene

French thing. Arceneaux isn't an uncommon last name and it's been around for several centuries.

Hope the guy they've got is the one that did it and they nail him for it.
