Oops, Menards does it again!

This after just a few years ago, Mr. John Menard himself was fined by OSHA for personally disposing of chemical waste in the woods.

And people still wonder why I won't shop at Menards. I feel Menards is in the same boat as Wal-Mart, people feel that they have to justify shopping there, you know when someone says they shopped at Wal-Mart and everyone gets all slack-jawed and proceeds to lecture on how bad Wal-Mart is. Well, when my parents tell of their weekend shopping trip to Menards to get *shitty* lumber, I have to lecture them on what a self righteous cheap prick Mr. Menard is, and why would you support him?

He's on our local city council. He has threatend if we ever try to build a Lowes or Home Depot, he will shut down and pack up his entire northwest Wisconsin empire and make business elsewhere. I wish he would just leave.

Nothing from the EPA or any other government agency on this? I'd think he was breaking more than just OSHA guidelines.

I'm without a doubt about that.

I have a whole list of stories told to me by former employees of his, from the stores to the distribution centers to the lumberyards.......you honestly wouldn't believe the things this man has cheaped out on or tried to skimp by with.

Not to mention, he's an SC. He was so livid over the local airport for having the gall to charge him for parking in their lot (and his private jet), that he took all that to an airport about 25 miles away, where after a few weeks, they wanted to charge him as well, so he had no choice but to pony up. It was only dollars a day.
