Has anyone ever seen the made for TV edited version of Showgirls where they made strategically placed "bras" and "panties" for any scenes of nudity, plus a totally different woman's voice is dubbed over Elizabeth Berkley's for when she cusses, because she outright refused to change it.
That movie has no business being on TV if it has to be edited that much, and I'm not saying that because I'm a prude or one of those "But the children!" people. It just shouldn't be on TV.

OR it should be on late at night... you know when the kids need to DVR it to see it in the morning.
I think the main reason for the outrage is Subliminal messages that smoking is good if you allow people to smoke in movies. I think it is a bit of overkill, it is the parents that let their 8year old kids play Grand Theft Auto, and wonder why he ends up beating up a kid for money because the difference between fantasy and reality isn't clear, I get pissed when I'm told on xbox live playing Call of Duty that I need to not swear because kids are playing, I'm sorry go play a non-violent game, I you don't like what I'm saying mute me.

Babies know the difference between real and play. Any kid that doesn't has serious issues that need to be addressed that have nothing to do with what games the parents let him play.
