Jeggings are the bastard child of leggings and jeans. They're leggings meant to look like jeans. They're hideous if you ask me! And apparently they have a site just for them *shudder*

I agree with GK LIES I will combust I'm sure of it I am one of the people who burn like hell and I'm also on medication that's photo sensitive so I really have to avoid the sun this spring/summer.

I would like to have some color but meh it's not meant to be. And I won't do the spray tan, and I can't do tanning booths because of afore mentioned meds.

I recently got a sunburn from *driving* so yeah. I also have a hard time with cosmetics being too yellow. Clinique has some really good foundations for those with pale skin.

I can't tan. When I was in high school, I would try to tan for prom and such. Nope. It just wouldn't take. If I get a sunburn, I turn bright pink/red, then flake, then back to pretty much the same shade of pale. I do have a goal for the summer, which is to try to go out more in sleeveless tops, so that if I wear a wedding dress that bares my shoulders I don't have any sign of a farmer's tan, no matter how slight.

In all fairness, if you're from further up north and you attempt to go to Florida in the sun, that's a tad intense because you're closer to the equator.

I was considering a cruise this coming spring, and the lady I was talking to warned me because of how white I am that I would want to be extremely careful how long I was outside, because Florida/Carribean sun is much more intense than Wisconsin sun.

what scares me is the sun, ever so slowly, is going towards it's journey of supernova. Not that it will affect us any time soon but it's food for thought.

Sometimes, the minor "imperfections" are what make certain people look more attractive. Some people look too "perfect," and it makes them less interesting and appealing.

Ah, but she said, "as long as you wear proper sunscreen and sunglasses," which you obviously failed to do. Even my mother and aunt, who will lobster up after as little as half an hour out in the sun, can go full days at the beach so long as they are prepared ahead of time. Of course, they both hate me and my brother who can stay out all day with only a minimum investiture in sun screen.

Yeah. If you look too perfect, you start to look artificial, and that's just not attractive.

Well, unless you're into artificial partners, in which case you might as well just get a RealDoll or Boy Toy (same company) - it'll cost less in the long run.

For those of us ladies, most moisturizers/tinted moisturizers, and coverup makeups come with SPF, as do even lipsticks and glosses.

I use a chapstick with an SPF, although I'm a night owl, so I rarely get any time out in the sun, save for in the summers past, if there was no overtime, I'd lay out in the sun into the afternoon. When my shift changes, I'm not going to have any sun 3 or 4 days out of the week.

I like wearing gothic style clothes sometimes, and pale skin looks great with them. XD

Blas; I adore Chapstick. ^^ It not only has an SPF, but is super and lasts ages on my lips.

Burt's Bees has a sun protection lip balm, too... I love that stuff.

I prefer the taste of chapstick. It's...nostalgic. Yeah, we'll go with that.

                              Anyone with a middle part.
                              Red hair and/or freckles
                              Small jaw (men)
                              Teeth that aren't straight
                              Crooked and/or webbed toes
                              Webbed fingers or toes

What exactly is so hideous about these things? Seriously?
Nothing. I can think of quite a few attractive celebrities who have at least one of the attributes on that silly list. Let's see:

David Tennant (freckles, not-straight teeth, small jaw)
                              David Duchovny (small jaw)
                              Colin Firth (not-straight teeth)
Johnny Depp (glasses, long black hair)
                              Will Smith (large-ish ears)
                              Seth Green (red hair)

I'm sure there are many others that can be added to that list.

I *was* sunscreened up. I grew up on an island where I once had to crawl out a second story window to get to school because we couldn't open the front door through the snow. I do not deal with the sun well. >.>

Chuck me in the arctic though and not a problem.

I find myself pretty much utterly desensitized to Hollywood "beauty".

Heh, I see one or two of them around here some nights as my office is in a Japanese tourist centric area. You have the subculture behind it kinda wrong though. It's more rebelling than obsessing if I recall and the whole sugar daddy thing is a problem amongst teenage Japanese girls in general. As is the trend of eye widening ( large eyes are desirable as a beauty trait ). Its not exclusive to that fashion style. You might be thinking of one its more insane subsets. Manba or something like that. The one where the crazy really comes out.

Gothic Lolita is pretty awesome looking though.

I *hissed* at my optomitrist when he shined the little pen light in my eyes. His response was "Wow, you're really photosensitive, aren't you?". >.>
