Some people with liver damage are actually prescribed specific supplements.
Ideally, people would just eat a balanced diet. Your body would much rather absorb nutrients from food instead of pills. I don't take a multivitamin, because I'd just be pissing my money away. Literally.

One size does not fit all, especially when dealing with vitamins and minerals.

And also, as a recommendation, have them do a check on your thyroid as well. That is, if it's not been done before or hasn't been done recently. Even if you don't have a history of either type of thyroidism in your family, it does not hurt to make sure.
