Missouri police officer blased in face with fireworks

Yep. You read that right. I don't even know what to think about this, to be honest. Sure, the drought resulted in more than a few fireworks displays being cancelled and a ban on fireworks inside the city, so people are understandably pissed about it, but there's a difference between just lighting them anyway and aiming them at the cops.

I had a feeling that it would be SE Missouri...the "boot heel," as it were. It's a wasteland of white trash mixed with ghetto-ness plus money from the nearby steel mills. A lovely combination.

Monday night I was at the fireworks in Ludington, MI. You wouldn't believe how many very loud firecrackers I heard going off near the crowd. It's all fun and games until you blow off someone's head.
