If I were a friend of this woman, and she toted her child along to my flat without so much as asking first, she would in the space of ten seconds become an ex-friend. Hell, even my older brother won't turn up on my doorstep with my niece; we just arrange to meet at my parents' house instead if he and sister in law are in the area.
