That doesn't sound at all like Calvinism to me... it seems a bit like prosperity gospel, only backwards.

(But I'm confused anyway: I'd always heard that Jesus said that it's harder for a rich man to enter heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle... and then, just a few weeks ago, a Jeopardy! clue said that needles didn't have eyes until the 15th century.)

The "Eye of the Needle" quote predates modern needles period. It means a particular recessed wall that you have to walk around to enter an area. (I'll try to do an ASCII representation:

      ------.....------
      .....--------

To get through they had to go through the entrance, then around the recessed wall. It was (and still is come to think of it) a particularly effective choke point that was often only wide enough to allow smaller creatures, like unmounted humans through. It was called the "Eye of the Needle".

        Bank Transfer Day

Bank Transfer Day as described in this article on Yahoo!

Basically, it appears to be an offshoot from the Occupy Wall Street crowd. They are encouraging everyone who has money in the bigger banks to transfer their money to either smaller (probably hometown?) banks and/or credit unions. They hope people will do this before November 5.
