  • Presidential Candidate Airing Graphic Anti-Abortion Ads During Super Bowl

Presidential Candidate, Randall Terry is airing this graphic anti-abortion ad during the Superbowl.

Terry calls President Obama "the paramount child killer of the western hemisphere" and is calling on those pro-lifers who voted for Obama in '08 to vote him out of office.

"If Randall Terry was a normal advertiser, this ad would not air. It doesn't meet the community standards that we've established," said KY3 Inc. General Manager Brian McDonough.

"Regardless of where people stand on the issue of abortion, it's our belief that no one wants to see or subject their family to dismembered body parts during the superbowl," said McDonough.

But Terry is not apologetic about the graphic images that even children, will no doubt see. "Parents can say to their children, yes, this is a baby that was hurt by somebody who didn't love Jesus," Terry said.

"It's our hope that Mr. Terry will not put local TV stations in this no win situation and that he'll agree not to air the ads," said McDonough.

Terry plans to air graphic anti-abortion ads in every market in Missouri on every network. He calls the Superbowl his "big splash." He has already aired similar ads in eight states.
I think it's incredibly distasteful to air an incredibly graphic ad like that during a time families will be watching the Superbowl for one and two the REAL front runner issue is the economy, stupid!

A pro-life activist who is trolling the presidential campaign to abuse regulations that require his ads be aired during the Superbowl.

I swear he's reminding me of Trevor Grace (similar nut who came around during the state election down here) who placed up graphic pro-life posters around the city. Also there was his website.

I'll give him one thing: It takes a truly impressive troll to pull off a troll of such magnitude its liable to change a law. -.-

Grave not only that but it might even become a talking point for other more serious candidates. They may get or lose votes depending on their stance on what he is planning.

That is disgusting and disturbing, just reading about the ad and what he wanted parents to tell their kids, it made me want to throw up.
"I like him aunt Sarah, he's got a pretty shield. It's got a star on it!"

If my daughter happens to see it, I hope she doesn't, then I would be tempted to tell her "that is because there is a bad man that would rather traumatize you then have an open and frank discussion about the issues."

He's not serious about getting elected. He's just using the election to pose as a candidate to get equal access air time at a price he wouldn't be able to afford in any other year. You won't see a repeat of these ads in a non-election year.

Good news! Your insurance company says they'll cover you. Unfortunately, they also say it will be with dirt.

Which seriously there should be laws about if you really want to push your agenda then really run for office otherwise shut up and support a serious candidate who agrees with you on the issues.

There are already laws requiring candidates to get so many signatures on petitions in order to be on the ballot. In fact, several major GOP candidates (including Newt) will not be on the Virginia primary because they didn't do this.

Distasteful it may be however with unrestricted free speech (i.e. with no restrictions at all) what do you expect? You'll always get someone who will say what they want that others find unpleasant.

I'm sure there will be such laws... but it's a hard line to draw. And really, this ad cannot possibly do more harm than some other things that are now legal in campaigns.

Besides, such a law would get Colbert in trouble
