  • Six year old charged with sexual assault!

He was playing tag and kept in the principal's office for two hours until he confessed.

Oh no! Heaven forbid you accidently tag someone in the wrong area!

    What a tool.

Here's what gets me. He was accused of brushing the boy's leg or groin. They charge a six-year-old for a sexual assault they can't even definitely say happened?

um, he wasnt charged, he was accused, suspended, and a note put in his student file. once the family got lawyers and the school district involved, the district removed the accusations from the kid's record because it was unfounded.
this article shows it never became a police issue, so the kid was never charged with a crime. it was all internal punishments.

It's actually noted in the article that the kid can't be charged with sexual assault in the state of California.

It's pretty strange that it even got to that point in the first place. It was an accident that happened during a game of tag.

I wonder how the school even found out about it. Did the friend who was touched complain? Did someone see it happen and just assume it was intentional?

What confuses me greatly about this whole mess is that if a child that young is doing anything remotely sexual, you're not supposed to punish them. If a child is masturbating at school or trying to touch others, it's usually because they've been sexually abused by an adult. Any school employee who sees a young child acting in a sexual way is supposed to report it immediately as possible abuse.

Schools are supposed to advocate for the children and their safety above everything else, NOT dish out punishment first and ask questions later.

I always wonder about the people who see little kids doing normal little kid things and see something sexual involving little kids when most of the rest of the world don't. >_>

Simple, they are the ones with the problems. Im not saying they are sexual predators or anything like that. But they clearly have problems.
