  • Open Casket Photo Of Whitney Houston On Cover Of National Enquirer

It's all over that the National Enquirer has the open casket picture of Whitney Houston on their cover. It's sad she died, though at this point the cause of death is still under speculation pending the toxicology results. Personally, I think it's just distasteful and horrible that somebody would sell or give out that kind of picture to be put on blast. It's disrespectful for her bereaving family to see something like that. But it's not the first time National Enquirer had something done like this, unfortunately. Some of you may remember in 1977 when the open casket picture of Elvis was on National Enquirer. What's your thoughts on this?

Last I heard it was a fake. They hired a look a like for some photo ops.

Still, remarkably bad taste.....but, well, it is the National Enquirer. This stuff sells, so they keep doing that. Simple as that. There's, sadly, a market for it. Thus it is done.

"Tasteful" is not exactly their forte.

They did it for Elvis. They did it for River Phoenix. I'm pretty sure they did it for a few other celebrities before they did for Whitney Houston.

          Don't look.

I saw the cover. Looked at it briefly, and then looked at something else. My daughter wanted to know why they had a sleeping lady on the cover.

If someone was upset about the picture, complain to the magazine. They need to hear it. Not the supermarket people.
