It's "fucking punks" by my 10 years as a CSR trying to dechiper inaudible muttering ear. There's a strong p/sudden force of air at the first and a k at the end. There's no "oon" sound at all. The tone also goes up and then back down, consistent with "fucking punks", but not "fucking coons" where the tone would go up then stay level through to the end of "coons". Else it would sound rather comical.

I'm the "what the hell is this person saying?" person at my work, and that's what my ears told me as well.

I think "coon" is more of a Southern insult to blacks, because the racists up nort' here just use the n word a little too liberally.
I'm going to use the n word here, please don't get upset, it's just a quote.
I was working with an older lady one night at work (don't even ask how that went) and when she said she "nigger rigged" her machine, I kind of looked at her with the big doe eyes and just let her be. She wasn't going to listen to anything I said anyway, and I was so taken aback at the fact that some people can't even watch their mouths for 12 hours anymore....I just wanted to go home. That word doesn't offend me, but the people who still think it's appropriate to say do. I mean, come on, I don't care what generation you grew up in, nowadays, we don't say that anymore.

I personally am a strong supporter of SYG. Though honestly if I am in my home, and somebody breaks in..I should not have to look to see if there is a 'safe exit'. Doesn't matter if it is a non-violent intruder..you have no way of knowing motive..you should be able to defend yourself and your family. Period. NOTE: Please note that I am saying IN MY OWN HOME.
I don't think somebody in the commission of a crime should get to 'sue' if they hurt themselves either, but hey that is neither here nor there.
Ok..please return to your regularly scheduled thread.

Wasn't it last year that SYG was claimed and found legit when a repo man tried to repo a boat and got killed?

If Martin is walking away from Zimmerman's then he is NOT a threat and, even though slowly, could be considered fleeting (even though he's just trying to get home).
Oh, and a comment back to which one of them was on top of the other; that likely wouldn't have been Martin as Zimmerman describes him as wearing a "dark hoodie, like a grey hoodie," so that would be much more likely to have been Zimmerman atop Martin. I haven't seen a report that mentions what color shirt he was wearing, so it's difficult to determine with any certainty.

Newest development, the authors of the Stand Your Ground Law? they're on record saying Zimmerman has no protection under "their" law, not for his actions. Also, Gun rights groups in FL are questioning his actions and why he hasn't been arrested.
linky
Huh. That's interesting, when Republicans are decrying his use of a gun, and that he stepped outside the bounds of the very broad self-defense law.
ETA: It looks like the authors of SYG are also calling for Zimmerman's arrest, especially after other officials are calling for the repeal of their law, in light of the shooting.Last edited by lupo pazzesco; 03-22-2012, 09:05 PM.

I haven't seen any repoats mentioning that either man took off their sweater.Point to Ponder:
Is it considered irony when someone on an internet forum makes a post that can be considered to look like it was written by a 3rd grade dropout, and they are poking fun of the fact that another person couldn't spell?

I've had to write incident reports, and the hardest part for me is writing down what the person looked like, and what they were wearing.
I concentrate entirely on the actions that are happening, of which I could give you an incredibly detailed blow-by-blow account of them.
But get me to describe clothing and I can easily mistake 'black' for 'white', or 'red' for 'green'.
It's not that I'm stupid or anything, it's just that I don't notice things like that. I even have horrible trouble identifying skin colour or nationality.
It's really frustrating.Last edited by Rebel; 03-23-2012, 12:20 AM."Having a Christian threaten me with hell is like having a hippy threaten to punch me in my aura."

Ask a dozen people what they see, get a dozen different answers. Now there are going to be some similarities..but unless there is somebody who is a trained observer in the group..a lot is going to be different. From height to colors of items. Since I doubt there was anybody there that was a trained observer, color of items would be subjective..especially in the dark. Unless somebody was wearing neon green, or bright pink...
Now of course, I have a personal experience that I could share..where I (who consider myself very observant) was way off..but you do not need that. You can get proof yourself. Gather ten of your friends for some reason. Going to a bar, watching a sports game, etc. Get another of your friends to just pass by..wearing a certain outfit. Have them stay about a minute, then walk out. Ask your friends what they were wearing.
Its why police sketches are called 'composites'. No two people will remember the exact same thing UNLESS they had gotten before and practiced what they were going to say.Last edited by Mytical; 03-23-2012, 01:52 AM.
