  • Article at McClatchy describes Zimmerman as having a history of minor violence, giving accounts that don't match the police reports, and going way overboard in his actions as a wannabe cop.

Do you have another link? The provided link doesn't go to a specific video and my google-fu isn't working.

      • Ooh, now there's security footage of him at the station. His lawyer says his nose was broken and he had lacerations all over his head. Yet here he is immediately after:

Here he is from the front.

Here he is from the back.

No cuts, no bruises, no blood, no bandages, no stitches, nothing. If he had a broken nose he'd be bleeding like a stuck pig. Also, none of the cops handling him are wearing latex gloves, as they would be with *any* bleeding suspect.

        • I think we've pretty firmly established that Zimmerman has a history of being a liar.

          • Now it's come out that the funeral director for Martin's funeral didn't see any evidence that he had been in a fight, nothing on his hands or knuckles. I've been in a fight before. The human head is hard as hell and you will bang up your hands good on one.

            • I was told not to go on memorials on facebook but I did anyway to offer my prayers for the family, and I have NEVER seen more evil, cruel, racist garbage EVER in my life. These shitbags were calling Zimmerman a hero and saying that he should get an award and that Trayvon deserved what he got just for being a word I'm not gonna use. People were slinging around racist words and terms like it was a good thing. Someone posted that the racists should just make their own page and leave this one, one of them posted that then all the --------- and race traitors wouldn't be able see and hear what we have to say. At that point I got so pissed off and upset I logged off, I can't believe a grown man with a gun can kill an unarmed teenager and be called a hero for it. I really hope this shit ends soon, I hate that this is reality.

              • Yeah, it's really bullshit. Another point - A lot of people just troll facebook pages. When someone in the brony community killed herself, people trolled her page over it.

People troll on FB 'cause they think it makes them look cool.

I'd think maybe half of those people are really stormfront types, and the other half are showing how awesome they are that they don't care.

                • Yeah, anonymity of the internet lets people more freely be assholes. Too bad its not as anonymous as it used to be. Especially with Facebook.

                  • As the Trayvon Martin controversy splinters into a debate about self-defense, a central question remains: Who was heard crying for help on a 911 call in the moments before the teen was shot?

A leading expert in the field of forensic voice identification sought to answer that question by analyzing the recordings for the Orlando Sentinel.

His result: It was not George Zimmerman who called for help.
                    http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/...ific-certainty

That changes some things, doncha think? If Zimmerman was yelling for help like he says, and one voice yelling is clearly heard on the 911 tape, don't you think that his voice would be heard as well?

                    • Two different vocal analysts, using two separate methods of analysis have come to the same conclusion: Zimmerman was not the one screaming for help and begging for his life in the background of the 911 call. Yet another lie to pile on top of the rest Zimmerman has been telling from the very beginning.

                      • There has been controversy about it down here as well. In the "World" section of the paper, it's taken up a double-page spread, which is normally saved for political, economic or hot-button social issues that crop up overseas (i.e. honor killings)

                          • Zimmerman's lawyers quit because they lost contact with him??

                            Has he gone AWOL?

                            Edit. From http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2012/04/10...eak/?hpt=hp_c1

[Updated at 5:08 p.m. ET] Attorney Hal Uhrig said that pressure might have "pushed him a little over the edge and (he) thought, 'I'm going to take care of it myself."

"Our thought process is, we're professionals. We do this for a living. We try to do a good job of it, but we are not going to put ourselves out to the public ... unless he makes it clear to us that he wants us as his lawyers," Uhrig said.

[Updated at 5:02 p.m. ET] Attorney Hal Uhrig said Zimmerman has taken his own steps since they lost contact with him on Sunday, including:

                            – Setting up his own website under a different Web address than what the attorneys had arranged with him.

                            – Speaking to Fox News' Sean Hannity by phone, apparently off the record. "(Hannity) is not willing to tell us what our client told him."

                            – Calling the special prosecutor's office directly, as opposed to through his attorneys, and offering to come in and answer investigators' questions. The prosecutor's office told Zimmerman that they weren't going to talk to him without counsel, Uhrig said.

[Updated at 4:52 p.m. ET] Attorney Hal Uhrig said he and attorney Craig Sonner still stand by what they've said previously in defense of Zimmerman. Sonner said he still believes Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense.

[Updated at 4:49 p.m. ET] The attorneys for George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who authorities say fatally shot an unarmed teenager in Florida, say they're no longer representing him, because they have lost contact with him.

Attorneys Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig say they last had contact with Zimmerman on Sunday. Since then, Zimmerman hasn't returned their phone calls or text messages, they told reporters Tuesday afternoon.

"He has gone on his own. I don't know what he's doing or who he's talking to," Sonner said. "... “I cannot represent client who doesn’t stay in contact with me.”

Sonner said he and Uhrig would resume representing Zimmerman if he asks them.

                            • He put up a website begging for money too. Because he hasn't sunk low enough yet. Bonus points for the album on the website including a picture of a vandalized black cultural centre. >.>

                              • Zimmerman's little fundraising site has been confirmed by multiple sources as belonging to him, and at one point included a pro-Zimmerman piece of graffiti defacing a black cultural center. I guess he decided that maybe he shouldn't be such an ass and has since removed the image, but left the text of the graffiti on the page in question, so I'm not sure he really gets it.
