And let me tell you what......I am NOT aborting ANYTHING by preventing ovulation, preventing sperm from entering my cervix, and having my uterine lining be undesirable for a fetus.
Taking that thinking, then wouldn't abstinence be considered abortion? Yet the right-wingers champion that (abstinence as sex ed)... What also about all the women who for whatever reason are sterile (uterine lining unsuitable for an embryo)? Should they be accused of 'performing abortions'?
I'm also on the pill because I need to be, and my doc will confirm that. Nothing to do with preventing pregnancy (well, that's become a good reason, but it's not why I was put on it in the first place).
"Any state, any entity, any ideology which fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."
Actually, all the men would be taking 2 weeks off every month, due to not being able to stand pain.
Actually, research has been done that shows that men and women have biologically different mechanisms for handling pain. All of it that I was able to find right now is locked up behind subscriptions, but I have read such reports as of several years ago.
The upshot of this is that, for severe pain, women's secondary pain handling mechanism kicks in, allowing the woman to deal with it better. Oh, and the reason this secondary mechanism doesn't work for men? It's based on estrogen, which men are in pretty short supply of
So, you're right: Biologically speaking, men are not as well equipped to handle pain as women.
