      Honestly, I think this all comes down to knowing your audience. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but I try to curb my language if I'm in 'polite' company.

      When it's me and my friends, I cuss like a drunken sailor.

      Fining and jailing people for it is ridiculous, though. If we fined and jailed everyone who showed a lack of tact and class, we'd have 20x more overcrowding in the jails than we already do.

            I think it's ridiculous. It's one thing if you're talking about something and swearing but another if you're verbally abusive to somebody.
