A man in Tennessee apparently has at least 21 kids (but could be up to 30) with 11 different mothers and only works a minimum wage job. he wants help fromthe state to pay child support.

Sounds like a nice start.

But Ive got a feeling that the moms are all drawing state help anyway, and thats really all they are entitled to in my opinion. The state didnt help him make them, I dont see any reason why they should help more than standard public assistance.

I read that article the other night on FB.

It doesn't say much about the mothers, which makes me wonder if any of these women were aware of all the other kids and mothers, or if any of the women have multiple kids with him and whatnot.

I'm wondering that as well; the mothers share some of the blame, as it is entirely possible to prevent pregnancy and having children shouldn't be so lightly entered into.

It takes two to make a baby, but it can take at least one of them to prevent making a baby. If the moms weren't on some sort of birth control or not, you would think the guy would be smart and use a condom (especially if he's having sex with multiple women)!

That generally leads to some sort of STD. While I doubt Id shed a tear if he did and really wouldn't wish it on anyone, I am somewhat concerned about unsuspecting females and the kids.

That's interesting, bara, because supposedly a lot of common STDs can cause infertility (mostly in women) if untreated or ignored.

But, then again, all these years, people have preached that smoking, being overweight, eating/drinking whatever, drinking booze, leads to infertility, and you see a lot of smokers and drinkers get pregnant.

Yeah, but one of the worst STDs can stay dormant for quite some time before it manifests.

Would have been cheaper to have gotten a vasectomy earlier in life then pay child support for 30 kids.

But the state is going to have to step in. Those kids are getting almost nothing because of how many there are and unless he's qualified for a high paying job (Which I doubt because anyone dumb enough to father 30 unwanted children isn't bright enough for high paying jobs), they are screwed.

While I can't say for sure, I'm very very sure most if not all of his kids were born on welfare and are still living off of it. He's wanting the state to kick in what he can't so it doesn't continue to accumulate in his name. He doesn't care about these kids, if he did he wouldn't have so many. Just you wait in another 3 years he'll have more, I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't have 2 or 3 knocked up as we speak.

I suspect he had so many precisely so that nobody is getting enough out of him to be worthwhile. Which is disgusting... but you couldn't force anyone to hire him at a higher rate even if he could be made to seek it.

Disclaimer, this is from the UK not America or anywhere else this thread is based from

A guy at work once told me, some time before he left, that he paid a flat rate to the state and his ex got so much, which he added was LESS than what he paid the state, untill he fathered another child then she got half as did the other woman, this then became a third when his new wife became pregnant as they knew that you can only take so much off someone before you start taking it from the child.
I know for sure he has 3 children, custody of one (with his wife) and perhaps now his ex's, the middle I'm not too sure of, he did say he was going to court over it at one point before he left.
I'm not sure if they now have a 4th child (2nd together).

His first child was when he was married, the 2nd he didn't even know he had till he got contacted over child support as it was a short term relation/one night stand.
His ex was pissed that she got a drop in money from him, but TBH she was still getting state benefits as any parent would (untill the child is 16 iir) on top of that.
And as stated his 3rd and perhaps 4th were in another married relationship, so he's not just doing the 'Jamacian thing' as we've come to call it at work.

A mate of mine was similar to your colleague.

He split with the mother of their children and he was willing to pay for the upkeep of the children etc, but she believed the anti CSA rhetoric and demanded that he have his income examined and so forth. He ended up paying within pence of what he'd calculated in the first place, and it disappeared from his wages before he got it.

Her actions here were mostly out of spite and greed. She was going to get so much more, but it worked out what he said he'd have to pay. Except for one part - she only got state benefits plus about a tenner a week as that's what the CSA said she could survive on. Apparently she was most put out that she wasn't going to get anything near the amount he was paying. He laughed himself sick over this, barring the detail whereby his children were forced towards penury. He's on a decent income, so he handed them some extra. He's not a deadbeat dad - just couldn't stand living with her any longer. Shame, really.

The UK situation changed somewhat allowing them both to voluntarily drop out of the system and he handed her under the table about 75% of what he was paying before, which was far more than she was getting in the first place, but less than he was paying before. Both were better off by far under this.

Then the laws changed again and she got everything the CSA took from him, so back through the systems she dragged him.
